not as good as I expected

I think I'm the only one with a not-so-positive review here ><. After reading all the reviews left by other readers, I expected the manga to be much better than I found it. I tried to like it, I really did. I don't dislike it, but I just don't find the story particularly memorable or noteworthy. Maybe (probably) it's just me, but the characters don't really touch me or make me feel anything much for them; I find their interaction a little incomprehensible and somewhat trite after a while. I just couldn't get into this story, I guess. Don't get me wrong, this manga isn't bad at all, and the suspense is certainly there. But it just didn't do anything for me.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
was the bus driver shot? I don't understand why he ended up in the hospital. I too think that this story was well done. The love cum rape cum love scenario is less predictable as it wasn't a form of stockholm syndrome which is more common in this genre. Interesting that the uke and seme relationship is reversed when they are adults, but i suppose that it isn't exclusively unilateral.

Nothing to be so amazed

I like to read manga that actually has a plot, and this one has it, but a very painful one. I just can't understand some things on it, on how the feelings develop through it... because for such a theme "rape-that-turns-into-love" I needed some more pages to digest it. But I have to say, I didn't like this title much, and certainly I just can't use words like "beautiful" or "captivating" for this one.

Best yaoi manga I've read in MONTHS. Seriously, and I've read a lot in my time.

Heart-wrenching, thrilling plot that had me in tears after each chapter. It's also noteworthy to add that it's a believable 'rape' manga; there are a good number of yaoi that have 'rape-that-turns-into-love' as their theme, but this is one of the ones that execute it brilliantly.

Thank you, Wasurenagusa, for scanlating this.

10/10, it deserves every point.

I really enjoyed this manga. The art was pretty good, but the story itself was quite amazing. It's very dramatic and... psychological... can't really explain in any other words. It leaves you at the edge of your seat at the end of every chapter, and the ending was quite pleasant ^^
Personally, it was quite heart-wrenching... I'm a sucker for this type of bittersweet romance... ^^;
Ahaha, if you like manga that messes with your head (I really don't know who's the "victim" or anymore xD) I'm sure you won't get bored.

It is comprehensive and I agree.

This story was deeply touching. In all my personal experience and in everything I've read - the characters rang true. The story was compelling. The mangaka wove her story in such a captivating, compelling way that I was never once bored. Every page I struggled between going back and rereading (because it was so damn good) and turning to the next (because of those damn exciting cliff hangers)!

I kept rereading everything because the characters were so deliciously complex within themselves and with their relationship with each other. Every reread, I understood or saw something I didn't see before with her beautifully expressive art and well chosen words.

Basis of the plot is simple but with an interesting psychological aspect

The premise of this story is quite simple: it's about revenge. Nothing more, nothing less.

However, the psychological aspect spices things up quite a bit: the lasting impact of trauma on both the culprit and the victim, the cost of inflicting vengeance on the responsible party, the guilt and anger. And if you were to read and consider carefully, you could really see the subtle shifts in their personalities over time. And oh, the artwork is really expressive: actually, only a handful of artists are capable of maintaining a strict and tight cohesion of the characters' expressions and I think she did a very good job in matching them up with the plot.

Thus, the end result of this work is a story with rather matured themes inlaid with a subtle irony.

Wow... this has got to be one of the tightest plots I've read in a long long time! Haven't read a story that's like that and I really like the way there's a cliff-hanger at the end of almost every chapter (some new information is revealed)... good story and great art too! I'm beginning to really like this mangaka - and looking for more of her stories! I was like... WOW!

wow that last chapter (4) made this story go like +3 ratings up, geez.

Anyhow, this story is actually pretty great. I don't believe I have read anything quite like it. Well, i have read some similar, however this story seems to have meaning and I do like how both character's motivations sort of shine through and leave the story ultimately really interesting. Or maybe I'm thinking to much on this, lol.
