This is a story about two friends, from nearly the beginning to almost the end of their lives, who happen to love each other.
Tatsuya and Junichi are in 5th grade and their music teacher is a pedophile. One day the music teacher has a request for Yumi, a girl who uses him to get expensive gifts. He wants her to get Tatsuya into the music room so he can be with him. Junichi recently confessed his feelings for Yumi and she decides to use him as bait to get Tatsuya to go to the music room. Junichi and Tatsuya's future does not look good...
Note: Only chapter 1 of volume 1 and chapter 7 of volume 2 is shotacon. Reading chapter 1 is almost necessary for the story and is not very explicit but chapter 7 of volume 2 is an extra/one-shot and can be skipped over completely for those who dislike shota.

Really good story art was kind of drab but its not an issue for me since the story was so enthraling but it was sad especially the end i personally think kenta and gakkun should have ended up together because they seemed to fit really well why she chose for them to not be together in the end eludes me but still this is one of the best and most through shounen ai series i'v read anyone who likes shounen ai should read it
Great story! A real surprise, too, since I was rather put off at first by cover/art in general (and to think that Gakkun is such a bishounen!! ^^).
I didn't think it was fake. I mean, sure, a lot of things happen in either the worse possible way (
Spoiler (highlight to view)
a one-night experiment, and obviously the girl gets pregnant
) or the most "convenient" way (
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Takako dies just when Shinozaki and Tatsuya meet again, and they can get back together
), but, then again, life is often like that - although we don't realize it till much later.
I loved the fact that it spans through all of the characters' lives, which isn't really common. In just four volumes, you really feel like you've gotten to know all the characters really well.
Just two little things:

- Junichi looks waaaay too gorgeous as a girl!!! ^____^ - I was really disappointed with how it ended for Kenta and Gakkun. I mean, I know that just because it's a manga it doesn't mean every character HAS to be gay, and that considering the circumstances, it's pretty normal for Ken-chan to be at the very least "confused" regarding what he really feels for Gakkun, yet I really did think that they suited each other and that Kenta was in love with Gakkun. It almost felt like they were afraid it wasn't going to work and never properly gave each other a chance.
This said... one of the best yaoi manga I've ever read!!!
I am so pissed, have you ever seen such evil women before?
I don't know how to say it but although it was a good story (the ending really made me cry *sniffs) still it gave me creeps. what really was pissing me off was this point that how the female characters were evil toward men in this story. one girl arranged one of the boys, who was in love with her as well, getting raped by a molester and another one just came out of no where and slept with the guy, got pregnant and later made him to get married with her while she actually was a lesbian!! oh man... *rolling eyes*
such a crappy characters, full of evil intentions and horrible actions... argh, call me OLD FASHION, SIMPLETON and DAY DREAMER but yet no matter how much I tried to understand and love these characters, I failed. *sighs*

Tatsuya made me SO DA*N mad u_u' you, who read the manga, knows when, geez, I almost couldn't believe it! to be truth I almost cried in that specific part, but... in exception to that part every other was incredible, made me laugh, love it in almost every single way, I took so long to start reading it, once I did, couldn't let go anymore, don't let the cover make you postpone the reading of this manga, trust me, it's incredible
/edit just noticed tatsuya's scar vanished after first volume XD

The story started out pretty boring and I wanted to quit pretty soon, but luckily I decided to give it a proper chance.
This story made me cry at so many times, for so many reasons. It's a simple story about boys love and how a whole life looks like. They meet in kindergarten and end up falling in love. There are so many obstacles to face, but this manga really teaches you to not let go of love.
I really enjoyed reading it and hope that other people will give this wonderful work a chance.
it really ruinned the story when (spoilers) junichi cheats, he claims to love him and yet he slept with another woman (supposedly a lesbian) then he says he only loves him but he couldnt sleep with a woman he didnt love, and maybve he did it to get out of the relationship with his lover. what a jerk if he didnt want to be with a guy, just break up with him dont go out and cheat on him. i couldnt stand the stupid girl trying to sleep with a guy who has a lover. for some reason all the women in yaoi manga come off as pushy and annoying and always get in the way of the two main guys. i really could not stand the woman and how Ju. claimed to be inlove with both her and his lover, the main guy was so selfish he didnt love anyone but himself. i would have preferred it if he married her without all the proclamations of love.

This was pretty good...
Hmm, it didn't seem too fake to me. I guess it just felt like some slice of life series about a gay couple and of course, it would've felt really forced if everyone had turned out gay in the end. Still, it was kinda sweet until the end. Awww...
THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE not a MANGA
This series actually deserves a 100. It is breathtakingly beautiful. I can only read this story once. It had such a profound effect on me I don't know when I will be able to read it again. It is such a beautiful and touching story. My mere words cannot even do it justice. IT IS A STORY THAT MUST BE EXPERIENCED. MANDA-Sensei had to have been recognized for this series. Sensei did a wonderful job on this piece. She truly showed LOVE and HUMAN-ness; the good, the bad and the ugly. The art may be an initial deterent, but will become negligible as one continues to read. It was so beautiful, it was amazing.
Definitely A Must-Read!
I've never experienced so much emotion in just four volumes of story! Junichi and Tatsuya's story pulls you in so that you think of nothing but them. It's enchanting and beautifully done! I think the pace was quite good. Frankly, it's one of those mangas that make you feel glad that mangas exist... stories exist... life exists.
(The shotacon chapter in second volume felt as if it was whimsically put in and well, you can skip it if you don't like shotacon.)
In a nutshell, no matter who you are, I think you'll be glad to have read this story! My only regret is that I didn't read it sooner. ^^
this was excellent! all the elements that others call cliches(sp) were pieces of reality. this shit happens. it was very real to me! i felt there pain, confusion, joy, acceptance, growth, most definately their love! i felt as if i knew them personally! from the laughs to the cries. i felt i was right there. man when i read the last chapter tears were pouring out so much i thought i was gonna short-circuit my lap top. even the secand generations issues. it was all real. i liked reading something that went beyond the honeymoon stage of the relationship! just masterful! read it..thats all i can say..just read it.
