The good thing about this one is that even if the setting ain't something new the chars are quite original, mainly the main male lead, thou I hate his guts you won't get any last minute save scene or touching reunion or enemies becoming best friends or whatever other crappy cliche we have seen over and over. The main char at least is something fresh and having a ass instead of a weak idealist or self-righteous char is welcome change. Also, it's quite funny.
Artwork is good (thou the fight scenes are not that great imo) and there was quite a bit of graphic sexuality on the beginning and for a change I found it entertaining but after a few volumes it was completely removed, not particularly bad, the mangaka just got rid of the scenes but the sexual dialogs continue, I wonder if he was told to tone it down.
Coincidentally the second part ain't as good as the first one, mainly because of the side-chars, I found Rin and Miu way more interesting than most of the second arc chars (the gramps was interesting thou).
In any case, for all the good points I just didn't have much fun reading this, an ocational laugh here and there but the lack of a decent story, no romance and lack of char progression are all big minus for me, didn't need to have all of em but at least one would have been nice.

Aiki begins as an amusing ero-battle-manga, and remains so for the first 10-20 chapters. But at the latest by the halfway point, it starts a new arc, has half the cast disappear, and most damningly, loses most of the humor. By that point, it's just a bad shounen battle manga with an overpowered protagonist, boring fights, and no suspense whatsoever.

That's a pity! I expected more from that beginning.

I love the art style and it funny. First few chapters where really good but then it good less entertaining at the end. Still I give it a good score because I like the characters and the art style.

now, dont expect any rationality in this manga, but just boundless fun. the martial arts is non-threatening, sure theres blood but there are no guts - you wont see anyone getting maimed or die gruesomely. the girls are beautiful, i love the way they have definitions and muscles. the mc is also great - he do whatever he wants. theres some 'rape as joke' here, so be warned.

A hilarious manga with lots of action. The main character really steals the show here. If you enjoy martial arts or just like reading action titles with lots of humor, this manga is definitely for you. Bummed out when I saw that the series ended at chapter 98, but hopefully the sequel Aiki-S will be just as good.

Well, as for me, I think this Manga has its own original style to create interesting character. I must admit that this manga is one of the best when it comes to give strong unique traits on its each characters, including the MC and side-character. The story and battle-scenes are hilarious (I always been surprised with the 'twist' of the battle scene). Yet, the ending is somehow hanged (and I consider heavily in ending when appreciating manga)... If the author can make a good prequel (Aiki S) to make up the ending, I will give this series 10/10

I remember my search for a manga in 2009 where I ticked a group of genre to arrive on AIKI as the only manga as its result. With its slow start and detached portrayal of some bland action scenes of seemingly typical characters by an intriguing art that seemed to be the only saving grace that adhered me to it. But after a while, for the unique badassary and the individualistic persona of Kunitoshi that is amplified by a supportive story that puts him at the forefront of all the major affairs by exploiting his traits to render something uncommon in all aspects(whether it is comedy or action) made this manga a unique and unforgettable read. Some MAY be disappointed due to the build up before delivering the fun but if you appreciate larger than life characters with grounds attached to reality and Isutoshi's elusive artwork while considering it as intrinsically Seinen then you will find 'the build-ups' happily admissible.

This maybe not the best story i ever read, but it definitely a manga I read over and over. the mixing of nudity, fighting, comedy and a little drama enough to hooked me up. afterall, for me who prefer hand to hand combat I found the moves the main char uses is really fun to watch.

Initially I dug this manga because I read the H series slut girl by isutoshi. And it looked pretty promising during the first chapters..

But man, it turned sour really fast. Main characters that appear from nowhere without a bit of backstory and disappear the same way. Fighting styles that get more and more ridiculous. Plot devices that keep growing and doesn't seem to ever be explained. Even the amount of ecchi is fairly inconsistent across the manga...

Really, don't expect anything

If you like self righteous *I dont hit women sissy character. I've been waiting for such an amazing character ALL HAIL LORD JOKYUU! I hate manga where the main dude won't hit a girl even if she can kill him with a pinky. "I DUN HIT HER COZ IM A GENTLEMAN" Kiss my *Backside.

Among all Martial Art manga that I've read this is one of the best. The comedy is top notch. The art is okay not the best but it's clean.

This is way way way WAYY better than that Overrated manga (Hint: Ken 1). It's like fecal matter no worse than that compare to this Heavenly Jewel. Why people read that is beyond me.
