Rated so low due to the weird ending.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The girl discovers she'd *actually* been kidnapped. And immediately forgives her accomplice-turned-betrayer, and doesn't even demand the money back for her family. Nor does she ever tell her parents the truth.

Put simply, I find the story's conclusion morally repugnant. The story is about a child making mistakes and thereby harming people close to her, but in the end, she never pays for, nor even apologizes for these mistakes.
