Description
Typical school boy Shibutani has always had trouble staying interested in his girlfriends, but when mild-mannered Yoshizumi transfers to his class, his interest is strangely piqued. As Shibutani tries to get to know his new classmate, he finds Yoshizumi to be awkward and even hostile. Other delightfully-crafted stories include a high school boy with a bizarre mask fetish deeply in lust with his dentist; a boyfriend's jealously over the close relationship between his lover and a best friend; and a couple who are overtly pouting over who should be on top in the bedroom.

Chapter 6
by Yamara

While a lot of the other chapters are the run of the mill just okay type stories... Chapter Six brings down the ENTIRE series

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
June gets cheated on and with a girl. And Ken knows EXACTLY what he's doing the entire time (as shown by his inner monologue) despite whether he's drunk or not.

Then he just runs home and says he wants to have sex and everything is hunky dory? June never finds out and gets plowed right after a girl was.
It never deals with the aftermath either. Ken never seems to feel guilty during or afterwards. It even makes it seem like he only stopped because he was slapped for calling out someone else's name.

So basically that chapter is such trash it brings down a mediocre book to a garbage one.

Tho I don't like chapter 6 bc the guy cheated his partner on a girl. Tho he was thinking of June for the whole time, it's still counted as cheating. And I hated the dact that June never knew about what his partner did.

Realistic situations AND comedy? Loved it. I personally liked June and Ken's story best, the 1st couple was lovely but I've read that situation before, its not everyday a mangaka actually brings up the reality of doing the do where you poo lol

First story is a gem!

The first story is amazing.
I'm also a big fan of mangaka who have a very sketchy art style because in my personal opinion, they are usually full of emotion and it's also true with this work.
The mangaka is great at having the characters express emotion, as well as her storytelling is just wonderful!
It's been a while since a manga really moved me (and I can count those on one hand) but the main story here really did it... I almost cried reading the 3rd chapter!
The other stories are cute enough... they're quirky, comedic pieces.... guy with a flu-mask fetish, shy first love, worries about first sexual experiences,...
It's not perfect but it's good enough!
The only qualm I have would be
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
in the one before the last story, that one of the guys got drunk and went with a woman and actually was going to (or did) sleep with her... and then he goes home and tells his lover he finally wants sex with him for the first time. I can't help feeling bad for the lover who had his first sex with him after he came home from fucking a woman.. but okay, I still like the story, you just can't hate characters that look so cute in that art style.

I enjoyed every single one of these stories and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an interesting read. The first story is very cute and incredibly moving, the others are funny... all together a good manga!

The drawing style

is sketchy which I LOVE because sometimes the whole perfect line thing gets really boring--I love the sketchy style in Nakamura Asumiko too because it adds a little somethin' soemthin' to the overall presentation of the manga and the whole "awkward first love" thing

There are four stories in the manga. I loved the first one meaning the main story! I thought it had a nice pace, also it was pretty realistic how the story went. It's not angsty, dramatic or anything like that. It's not really smutty either.

The other three stories were bad.. I loved the first story and all the stories after that sucked.. It just went downhill from the main story lol

I had mixed feelings about this manga. I thought the first three stories were brilliant. They were heart-meltingly cute and real, even if the second story had a bit of an odd premise. I loved the pacing and the way the emotions of the characters were conveyed. Set aside, I'd rate these stories a 10. But the last two stories were so different. The characters were not nearly as likeable, and the stories seemed more poorly constructed. It kind of confuses me how such a difference in quality between stories exists in the same manga. But read this for the first few because they're worth it, I think.

Heart-warming family plan

I picked up this book at a con one day, and I absolutely loved it. The first story was so realistic that it was unnerving, considering I'm a gay guy and this kind of situation does happen to homosexual men quite often. Especially the scene where Moeh was giving birth, then Hiro ran to the washroom to cry about him not being able to give Shibutami a 'perfect' happy family life. It was done so well that it brought tears to my eyes.

The third one with an older brother figure was pretty cute in my opinion. Even though I usually end up rooting for the third wheel, since they are more than often the nicer guy, the main pairing was really cute in its own right. The insecurities, the uncertainties, I was digging it. It felt like the story was being told through the eyes of a middle schooler, so pure and innocent.

The art style, on the other hand, might be something that people might not like. Personally, I don't have anything against this style, but some of my friends prefer cleaner, more bishonen style. This one is not. The boys are boys, even though most of the time they appear younger than they are, but there was no long haired pretty boy. Thank god. I hate long haired dudes.

If you are interested in a realistic story line, however still light-hearted and not dark and depressing, you definitely should have a look at this manga.
