Well I just love it, the main charater is a doll! And the author has really done her reasearch. There aren't too many well drawn and thought through drama shounen mangas out there like this one. I'm looking forward to more ;D

Wow, wow, wow.. I'm a medic myself which makes this a bit more enjoyable for me. The doctor is godlike and all of the medical problems are "possible" for a doctor of his calibur. The protagonist's character is typical for a shounen but is extremely likable because of his ideals and his compassion towards his patients. Just a great series in general that really deserves the 10 I gave it, but I might've been a bit biased because I'm in the medical field and this personally captured my interest bigrazz

I understand why some people consider Team medical dragon better but plz do remember this is for Shonen Sunday and is geared for a different group. Also, this is the author of Yakitate Japan, all in all, I think it is great so far and I'm a med student

well the male lead is charismatic, skilled and innocent.
female lead is an airhead.
add an gay (unconfirmed) side chracter to it or comic relief

well i am surprised the series concluded in 55 chapters.....should have atleast touched a hundred if not more...so i suspect an axed/rushed ending
of the 3 medic manga i read i'd rate
iryuu team medical dragon>saijou no meii > godhand teru

Is an apt description for a semi-serious manga that has no substantial hurdles to overcome. I don't care that the MC is a faultless, top-class surgeon but at least make the people who oppose him actually care.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
* Nobody wants to join pediatrics... so he shows off insane skills and tackles a child wandering into traffic.
* Dark pasts could break up his new team... so the MC says he doesn't care about the past.
* The assistant director interferes... by normally participating in a surgery and leaving impressed.
* A mother randomly revokes her consent... for 5 minutes.
* The new head chief is awful... but has a hospitalized son in need of surgery.
* Someone is brought in to criticize that surgery... whose arguments fall flat because they didn't notice a gigantic microscope that had been there for the whole procedure. The assistant director, a.k.a. the face of evil, is happy the MC was so thoughtful.
The MC has a weakness... so they overwork him.
Someone has a guilty conscious... until the MC says he won't live with regrets 5 pages later.

Nice, but I am afraid that one day someone would die, no one ever operates with 0 mortality rate. And the politics would probably take increasing amount of time. So stopping.

Well, its too unrealistic and i think the author gave the main character too many inhuman abilities. So i gotta admit i do prefer Team Medical Dragon....

team medical dragon > saijou no meii ..... reason bein... theyre both about hearts but saijou no meii is too shounen style to be a excitin story about medical surgeons..... also... the art... team medical dragon is more dramatic art style... which makes the story more excitin.... but overall based on the first chapter... saijou no meii isnt that bad..... just kinda shounen style.... and theres comedy around... so a good relief of stress... unlike team medical dragon... which is all realistic and dramatic and dont see much comedy (or maybe none)

ps. god damn i wish someone will start scannin team medical dragon again... the last release is a few months ago while the previous few i waited around half a year......
