Description
From Tokyopop:
Sato Tatsuhiro is a drug-addled "hikikomori" (a Japanese shut-in) who thinks a sinister organization, NHK (Nihon Hikikomori Kyoukai), is the cause of all his problems! He falls in love with a girl, Misaki, who he thinks is trying to assassinate him, but doesn't know how to talk to her or if he can trust her. The more he stays in his house watching anime porn, reading manga, and doing drugs, the harder it is for him to leave. Only Misaki can keep him from rotting away in his own apartment!

I do feel the irony in this! It some how makes me want to get up and do something about my situation, lol. But in the end I always come back to one problem... life smile. Anyways, it was a really good and enjoyable read. It did teach me a couple of things though, which I am greatfull for the author for that smile. Lol I sound pitiful! Well just give it a chance. its actually hilarious!

Probably a better manga than I think but I read it over too long a space of time and so didn't get what could have been the best out of it. Enjoyed it though, liked the art.

The first time you read this, it will probably seem like the author drew this whole thing while high on LSD. However, it becomes much more thought-provoking after a couple times. Worth a read, though they could have done something about the length - sometimes it just starts to drag on.

Be warned though, it really is like an acid trip the first time through.

Well, I couldn't think of a good Subject for this comment and since the series had that 'Welcome' on its title, I thought of giving it a reply or something.

Hmmm, what can I say, its not like the other Shounen mangas that I have read since when it often dwels with the psychological well being of characters, I often associate it with Seinen mangas.

The reality is close as humor gets thrown in a varity of angles but, its obviously not for everyone to like. It may seem difficult to others or irrational in fact. 'Normal' people would be doing such things in the first place yet, like all characters portrayed in the series, they all have flaws that they had to deal with. Its amazing to suggest that even with the main protagonist's own situation, he ends up helping those around him.

If you can't appreciate this manga, try reading it again sometime..

Read all the chapters in one sitting. I'm not into their erogame phase but it's important in a sense of how they are trying to cover up what's really happening in their lives. Some comments say it's boring as shit and they don't understand it, but weird enough I totally get it.

One thing though, don't read this when you're feeling down yourself. It's not a good read to try to find something to vent off while thinking you can relate to it. It will seriously bring you down lol. I like the end, but it's too good. I was hoping for something more dramatic.

I don't think I can properly comment on this manga. So I'll just say it was the most...fulfilling thing I have ever read.

Ever.

In my entire life.

More fulfilling then any other written piece of work, including books.

Strange, isn't it?

Anyways, I don't recommend this as a read for everyone. It's a manga that's...complex. It almost seems to mold itself into whatever the reader wants it to be. I guess I simply enjoyed what I ended up reading.

tazman0208's comments are something you have to consider while reading this manga, the ending does end in a very abrupt fashion and it may disappoint a few readers. there is a point to this story that gives it its charm. but the meaning behind this story is also something that is actually very commonly seen in a lot of abstract(artistic) movies that are made in asia. if you are familiar with artistic films, you would know what i am talking about*.

Nothing too deep or hard to understand as long as you are of the right age and read it to the end. The story isnt a rubix cube it just may take a bit of time to sink in. id give it an 8

What A Way To Go

Great character development. First and foremost, I'd like to point that out. This story is very character based, and you really have a feel for Satou and Misaki, as well as Yamazaki. Their emotions and relationships really drive the Pyschological and Drama aspects of this work. The artwork was very well done as well. Everything was drawn just great. No flaws whatsoever, really.
The complete story itself is quite thought provoking and it really does make you think about what it is trying to explain. All the concepts that it touches upon do follow up with many real ideas that make you think.
The one thing I felt was not done to my liking was the ending; it seemed abrupt and inconclusive. It was still enjoyable, but it could have been a lot better.
