... how bad this was and made the mistake of reading it again. The rating is just for the first volume (Pure) as I didn't bother with the second.
But really aside from it being pretty boring, as a lot of people mentioned, the kid* was an irritating crybaby. And the guy... well, he seemed level headed at the beginning, but in the end... just a jealous and selfish a-hole

In the end, the art is the only good thing about this (and the reason I rate this a little higher than Shinjo Mayu stuff) and even so... the artist did better job with Corsair.
And just a last thing: It always fascinates me how people say that something is no good and then rate it somewhere between 3 and 6. On a scale from 1 to 10, 6 means 'above average' and 3 and 4 are something like 'it was ok'.

(I mean, what he did could easily slip into the realm of domestic abuse - he made the asocial kid quit his job so the kid became even more isolated and dependent on him, he basically forced the kid into having sex by taking advantage of his feelings... and all the while he admitted that his feeling weren't really that deep.)

wow it's been a long time since I read something so bad! The story and the flow was horrible, the ukes were so irritating and... gosh I wanted to throw up when they were on scene! the semes were hot, but man, they must have thrown away their brains!

Eek, I remembered loving a BL manga called Kawaii Hito. It turns out it's the one by Yamakami Riyu LOL.
This one, however, is an angst fest. It's typical for this author. I have no respect for the ukes in her stories, but am fascinated by the semes. Mainly because I fantasize about spanking them. They're all so very cool, and the one in the second vol is a bit of a jerk. Boring story. The first vol was kind of cute though.

A sexy, compelling read! I recommend reading "Cute" first--"Pure" makes far more sense if you read it in that order.
The characters all seemed a bit compressed and rushed, but I still connected with them and their developing feelings. The art was expressive at times and flat at other times. Overall, though, I gobbled each couple's story up and enjoyed the reading time immensely!

If not for reading the next installment which is Cute, I won't bother my time on this. Geez, the story seems disjoint or it is the fault of translators? I'm not sure about that. The characters seem detach. It's like the story was rushed and was going nowhere after that. In short, a total bore. The art isn't even amazing to begin with.
that was pretty bad. the artwork isn't good. the story is a bit boring. the seme that the author wanted to be cool is just loathable. and this was ridiculous how he realized that he had fallen for the cry-baby-uke. (can't remember his name, i just know that he cries a lot and that his sweetness makes him stupid). kawaii hito-cute, the sequel, was a bit better.

it was relatively .. bad.
the scenario had potential- but it was just empty and pointless.. the seme type just looks angry all the time and the uke doesn't do anything but tremble with lust.. strange.

so why does everyone like this manga? it got bored after the first few pages. it had potential but it failed miserably. the uke was so girly, whiny and annoying i just couldn't stand it. *spoiler* kenichi called his own sister a whore and she retaliated by saying he's f*ked up, what the hell? honestly not worth the read at all.

If I didn't listen to the third dramacd, I would have given 6.5. But that not being the case, I must say I hate this story with a passion. Chihiro is a cruel guy, and Sakuya really irritated the hell out of me. He's weak, yet greedy and has no backbone at all.
