Ecchi??

I'm ok with dark theme, violence, drugs, gore and rape and all but...whenever the mangaka draws girls it's like the manga has totally changed to ecchi hentai stuffs?!! I felt disgusting and couldn't read it thoroughly. Too bad the story was good so I couldn't stop reading either...

Now because this was left unfinished that means I will never going to know what happen next, especially Haru's past... Wow. I want to die now (jk. but srsly...!)

the ending left me speachless
i really like the manga but the main character was crazy
i like the story but should have been longer and shown more of their past and emotions
had more potential but i still enjoyed it

I never knew that I am that kind of person, and this manga just made me realized it - i'm the kind that get hot in violent sex, and it is the violence that put me in heat. really, the mangaka is very very skilled in showing such ruptured, sensuous, orgasmic expression while making the characters bleed, that i got swayed into that state of mind. the characters are very interesting, they are not the conventional protagonist and remind me of Akira. it is a shame that this is unfinished, but if you think about the ending here, don't you think it is quite impossible for the mangaka to finish it? still, the whole ride is awesome.

FML what an ending

wow that ending made me want to punch a wall. not that it was rushed or bad, it was literally marked "unfinished". ARG i hate when authors decide to pull a dick move like that.

the story really kept me interested though and i simply adore the characters; Haru, tetsuo, ryoki, etc.
my tastes for manga are very masochistic so this was quite interesting. sometimes the "plot" wavered a bit and i do agree that the art occasionally drifts from super good to un-proportionate.
one of the categories for this manga is "borderline hentai" but really, it's more like a little bit of ecchi to appeal to it's audience (targeting male audiences). though i found it lots of it unnecessary.

overall i enjoyed the story, or what was had started anyways, but like Kurapica had said, it left you feeling unfulfilled due to the arupt "ending".

The plot consists of a kinda convoluted background with a good sprinkling of violence, sex, angst and melodrama. At times, the pages drag quite a bit by focusing too much on unneccessary action and other scenes.

Still, the story was kinda compelling at times and I really liked some of the characters: Haru, Ryo, Leo, etc. A pity everything just ended like that.

Also, interesting reference to "Clockwork Orange". =P

I'd put most of the story as somewhere between 4 to 8(the quality keeps wavering between really bad and really good... at times, the writing and overall plot gets really sloppy before becoming much more interesting again, so there's nothing fixed) and the later chapters as around 6 to 7.

That was amazing. The art was beautiful and the plot was really interesting...it's the kind of manga that makes people think and feel like the characters...
Although it's not finished, it was one of the best things I've ever read!

Spoiler (highlight to view)
The art was really good considering it was made in 1999, but it left me unsatified because its an unfinished series, other than that, I liked the story, the plot is well developed but I feel that the characters weren't and I think Akito's death was really rushed, she should have been in at least a few more chapters, and go into depth with the relationships each character has with one another, so for now I'm giving this a 7.

This series was good too bad it went unfinished, it sort of leaves things unanswered but we'll never know how things really end since this manga got stopped back in 1999. Anyways good and bloody series since the characters felt unique to me. Hate reading series that never get properly finished since it always leaves a unsatisfied feeling...

Probably one of the best series I have ever read.
It was absolutely amazing. I was thinking about it most of the day after I finished reading it. It was frustrating that the series was NOT finished, but in a way it's easy to understand how the author left it (there didn't seem to be much of a logical ending in store, but that may just be my opinion...). God, I loved this series. Not much in the way of comedy, but it left it's mark, and it was really rather dark. Don't know if I get the point of it all, and the undertones were kinda unrelated-seeming.
And hey- did anyone wonder about their school in the first book? For that matter, why weren't they in school until the later part of the series?

It's really not in my nature to trash manga but this one reallyy has no readiming factors. The art was good at times and other times sloppy. The plotline goes nowhere and the story ends abruplty and is unfinished. The reader has a hard time to emphasize with the characters and even the moral of the story is lost. IMO I felt that I wasted my time reading this...
