The main girl is way too pushy, and it gets even sadder when the family likes her better. Kind of sad but oh well the Main character learns to deal with it, the girl he loves does not want anything to do with him, apart from keeping the male body to herself.

Other than the fact that I dislike the main girl (which turns herself into the main boy), it is still enjoyable with a bit of drama and some comedy. Another reviewer also said read this for the comedy not for the romance, YES do that because the romance just pissed me off

I know that this manga has varied reviews, and it feels like the majority of the reviews are people hating on it. But, do keep in mind that there are also reviews praising this manga like there is no tomorrow. Seriously.

I for one, love this manga, but I think that readers would only be able to form their opinion AFTER reading the manga without looking at the reviews. Otherwise, they might believe it to be amazing, if it really isn't, or hate it, even if it's pretty good.

I agree with Pretzel-Heart in that there is a moral to this manga, but it's something rather misunderstood.

So, don't read this with a logical thinking. Just read this with an open mind, accept the weirdest things, and who knows, maybe you'll fall in love with it. Don't let other peoples' opinions affect what you think.

Also, if you don't like boyxboy or girlxgirl, you might want to leave. It is technically shounen/shoujo ai, but since there is genderbending, they're actually in a heterosexual relationship.

If you want a humorous, romantic shoujo manga, go read "Kare Kano" again. This manga is not meant to be taken seriously. This manga is one of funniest I have ever read. It does not matter who ends up with whom. The idea that one person can be a socially unacceptable girl but a socially acceptable boy and vice versa is extremely clever, and it pokes fun at traditional gender roles.

It will be Senbongi x Akira (in Momoi's body) and Shiina x Momoi (in Akira's body).

Just to make it clear, I DON'T MIND at all if it's shoujo/shounen-ai turn-outs. What really irritates me is that there's no definition in this manga! Except that Senbongi is crazy about Akira in Momoi's body and Shiina is extremely faithful in Momoi (in Akira's body), and Momoi (in Akira's body) really has it for Shiina, Akira's feeling NOT clearly heads anywhere! It can be Senbongi, Shiina and Momoi (in Akira's body) at any time! It's just annoying. If there is any definition in Akira, I probably has given this manga a 10 for its bizarre and laugh-out-loud moments.Too bad, it's heading nowhere = =""""

Wait wait! I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID ABOVE! This manga was to my heart's content as far as it concerns the ending. Morinaga wrapped it up perfectly even though it's an open-ending kind of thing, and the guy-guy, girl-girl relationships might be offish for some people. But it's perfect for me as long as all the main characters know who they truly like! Yup! I'm giving it a 10! XD

Reason why I didn't like too much was because of the female lead, the one who had switch bodies with the male lead. To be honest she is a real bitch. There is nothing else that I can really describe her. I guess you can describe her as that one person who is basically mean all the time, doesn't really think of others, and overall just plain selfish. This manga never ceased to make me angry. Just remembering what happens in the manga makes me want to punch a hole in the wall. The characters in this manga are just so bad. Unless you are the kind of person that really like one-sided characters to the max, you won't be able to find yourself enjoying this manga at all. What I expected was a love story between a girl and a guy where they switch bodies by accident and gradually develop feeling for each other, but what i got instead was a bitchy female lead that does whatever she wants and a male lead that is so submissive that you can pretty much do anything to him and he will be okay with it. This manga will just make you a ticking time-bomb of anger where in some point in the manga will just makes you explode.

It's horrible. Seriously, the main leads are both terrible, nothing really happens; the way they change bodies and fall in love with their old friends make no sense AT ALL. All this manga does is make me cringe and wonder how anyone can enjoy this.

I'm usually not into comedy (I guess because I have a weird sense of humor) but this one tickles me in the right spots. And I ADORE gender-bender.

It's comedy: Don't take it too seriously. Just laugh at the absurdity. And let your mind get twisted over who's a girl and who's a boy and who's what or whatever, and their crazy, tactless, tasteless antics.

And to the reviewers who want this to be a hardcore shoujo: there's enough out there already. Stuff like this is rare as gold, so let it be what it is.

i just read some of the reviews here and lol'd. obv people are not familiar with morinaga ai. her comedy style is similar to seino shizuru or other mangas where the main draw for audiences are the gags and satire/parody, NOT the plot, NOT the characters. plot and characters are basic at best, but the comedy is top notch if you love the slapstick, absurd and random. don't expect the plot to go anywhere amazing. or the characters to be likable or relatable. do expect crazy hijinks and the most absurd situations you can ever imagine in manga.

i really don't care how this manga ends--however i do think the romance angle in this is rather annoying and detracts from the gags and jokes at times. i ship akira x shiina anyways ;x i doubt it'll happen, though. whatever. it would be EPIC if akira fell for senbongi and then his body switched back. LMAO. i would gladly accept that ending.

Honestly HONESTLY!! I HATE THE MORAL OF THIS MANGA!! YOU DON'T HAVE TO SWITCH YOUR BODY TO BE YOURSELF!!
