Truly gentle and heart-warming

If you're tired of reading manga full of nothing but murder, love affairs, tragedy, betrayal and hatred, and wish for something quiet, simple and pure - do not pass up on this manga. The plot, while being extremely linear and simple, is, nevertheless, incredibly charming. Much to my relief, there was no romance of any kind, and the uncomplicated attractiveness and non-banal nature of the characters' relationships was like a breath of fresh air.

People who find this 'boring' or 'lame' should really look into their family lives and contemplate on whether they are living it properly. Anyone who understands the importance of family ties would love reading Kokoro ni Hana Wo!!

The story details how five orphaned boys found a home with an exceptionally kind, warm-hearted couple, and how, even after their foster parents passed away, the boys continue to hold their family together. In the meantime, they help other broken-down, miserable people to find their paths in life - just by the simple act of bringing them to the flower shop and temporarily making them a part of their family.
All five boys are wonderful. (And I am not saying this because they're good-looking!) Their allure lies in their politeness and decency; as they co-operate and work together in a way that would put most blood-related brothers to shame. The happiness that they found together, along with the kindness of their now-deceased parents - is the gift that they share with their customers.

This is Aya Kanno's best work so far. It is only two volumes in length and won't take much of your time, so read it!

One of the few manga that I would recommend to anyone - regardless of age, gender or genre preference.

although the manga isn't focused around romance, it's such a touching story and the drawing is really really amazing! it's good ^ ^ and besides, the guys are adorable~ i'm hoping further along, there will be more romance but even if there isn't much, it's still a wonderful story! so very cute!
also, if you give such a horrible rating as a 1, maybe you should at least put down more than one word about why you feel that way. in my opinion, it's a refreshing break from other romance/drama shoujo's i'm reading. i always saw the title and wasn't interested in it because it wasn't classified as romance. how stupid of me! really, just read one chapter and you won't regret it ^ ^

It's about five brothers that aren't even blood related...it's kind of touching (at least for me) how they care about each other so much...The last chapter made me shed a tear or two. It's simple, pure, and a wonderful read. It might get boring (for some people), but I loved it...it gives you a path to a simply happy and innocent series, unlike the rape, sex, murder, guns, angst, and tragedy (which I personally need a break from) that fills up a lot of the mangas these days. And the good thing is that it's fluffy, but not sickly sweet and disgusting like some shoujo manga.

Another work by Kanno Aya that's definitely worth reading. It doesn't have the typical Shoujo-romance, but focuses rather around the bond between humans. Also it's neither too long nor too short, in my opinion. Beautiful art and touching story, the last chapter even made me cry. smile

I can't say anything more than what my fellow reviewers have said.

This was just wonderful. *sighs of happiness*
It's a feel good manga but is refreshing in itself. I don't understand the person calling this a typical shoujo because of the cuteness and whatnot. It's about family and I'm so happy to have read this.

I put off reading this for a long time since I'm not into sappy stuff. I was such an idiot. This is just incredibly heartwarming. I'm not a crybaby or anything but this really got my waterworks going. So lovely.

The weird thing is...because I love all the brothers so so so much, I thought I would hate/despise any girls that came close to them(implied romance, the maybe-factor) but amazingly, I didn't because the story isn't focused on romance, it's focused on the people and growing up and everything that makes slice of life a breather...

and the girls aren't typical annoying girls so often found in shoujo, they're real and lovely. No tsudere princess type. No crybaby-dependent type. No overly weak "I'm strong! Believe it!" types. No sudden popularity makeovers. Beautiful.

Oh gosh, I am such a sap. I just started bawling at the end...ugh. I look disgusting. I will never forget this. ;)

Indeed as everyone said, this one is really heartwarming. Normally with such likable characters i would have wanted it to continue longer....and perhaps i do wish that if there was more, then we could have read about their individual romance. Still, it was a proper and good ending.

A typical shojo manga, cute, funny, fair share of bishounen, certainly not low enough to be a 1/10, though I can see how it would be for haters of shojo. The art is very good, and the storyline isn't your typical girl meets pretty boy romance type, from the first chapter, it's really a group of brothers (not blood related). Worth a read if you like shojo!
