Don't Mind Me

I can't get into this manga. The main character is aired headed and her skill seems
unnatural.

but the more annoying thing is that it waste time being sermonious with things that are argueable. You could say everything is argueable but it conveniently ignores certain things.

People influence other people, environments influence people. When I was in middle and High school, one of my good friends came from a home with some issues(most of my casual friends too). His sister fought mine(she gathered a group and followed us home), most of them smoked and drank, his brothers ended up in jail, his dad drank a lot, his sister ended up pregnant ect. And that's a half way decent house, there are way worst. It's pretty easy to try to get someone to do something bad just because that person doesn't think its bad or thinks your looking down on them for not doing it ect. And the truth is parents can't take the time to get to know the kids individually. So they'd have to control the environment where you meet but even then, what I mentioned, bringing bad things, bad advice ect, can still happen. Worst case scenario could be rape or drug addiction. I'm saying the possibilities are there, but I'm not saying it's likely either, knew lots of people, don't think I ever met people that went beyond drinking, smoking and being neglected. There's lot of good people from poor-ish neighborhoods but I don't want to hear that from someone who didn't live it, and not even including the possibilities.

People want to believe that they can't be influenced but that's crap. I'm not saying the parents were right but as much as the parents are unaware of the friend, the little girl is unaware of the dangers.

And It's great to feel friendship but not hanging out, they seem more like casual friends and it comes off like she uses her to show how awesome she is for even being her friend. But she(the friend) pretty much dropped her other friends like nothing too(compare to the main girl, who merely criticized hers). She even uses the word shallow to describe it, but what does that make her as well, yet the manga seems to be forcing me to admit that she's a good friend when this story bit is wholly unnecessary(and I might not feel like it). And if we're talking about possibilities, a much older boyfriend could have a lot of issues(He might even be married, we don't know).

It's not that what I said is important, it's only one bit. But there's nothing good to off set it. If that's the way it tells a story, then it doesn't really feel like a story, and it doesn't feel like anything
is really happening. It feels way too direct, and outside the flow, like it's talking to the reader. The other times it doesn't really feel like character talking to each other but a manga explanation. there's only a sliver of character interaction. This might be the most boring manga about manga I've read. And I honestly didn't expect it to be this integral, but it isn't all that technical either(somehow it manages a bad balance). And it's tagged as comedy, I seriously didn't know that! Where was it!

The only positive thing I can say, is that when it comes to a close up of a character's face, the art work is nice. This is really rare for me but I quit(by chapter 4). This manga has potential, it might be good or it might never be. If the way the story is told changes, if the possibility of a mistake is actually explored, maybe really interesting things will happen.I don't know if I'll ever check it out again. Maybe I'll forget about it and then come across it again with fresh eyes.

To tie two points together, I feel like this manga(positions the girl) is/as standing above, having pity, and self congratulating itself. Meanwhile it doesn't know what it's talking about. Gals covered things more naturally, Clover (Tetsuhiro Hirakawa) showed the friendship this thing wishes it had.

What can I say? Everything is going great so far.
The art is nice, the plot/storyline is great, the pace of the story is okay too... everything is just so interesting.
There are only 4 (scanlated) chapters available as of the moment, but I can already pretty much tell that it's going to be an awesome story.
There isn't a lot of romance yet but it's building up quite smoothly. There are also a lot of things that keeps me interested (the humor for the most part and the art is really nice to look at) and most of the scenes are truly inspiring.
I recommend this manga.

UPDATE:
The addition of Kasumi in the story made the manga more interesting. Can't wait to see what would happen next. I wonder who would Chika end up with; Ryou-chan or Kasumi?
I like Chika. I like her naivety and obliviousness.
This manga is taking too long to update.

This is the first time I come across a shoujo manga that properly details the 'work' of a mangaka and an apprentice in training. There's also light-hearted humor as well and I really like the character of Chika, strong-spirited and determined. Since this is based on the first chapter alone, we have yet to see where the mangaka intends to lead this.

I.... really really really really enjoy this, even from the first chapter. The premise sounded fun to begin with, but it was even more interesting than I expected! This is probably the first really believable "male shoujo-mangaka" scenario that I've come across. The characters are really fun (including young Chika, the female lead. she's a little dense, but in a much more refreshing, enjoyable way than the typical shoujo heroine). I love Emura's art. The story seems like it has a lot of interesting things in store, and I am enthusiastically looking forward to what comes next!
