This series didn't leave me satisfied.

The plot was interesting, the twists were nice, i enjoyed the drama and i learned a bit about diving, but...
The last third of the story just wasn't good enough for me, that could have been better, way better, especially because i wanted it to tie everything up, and it didn't, that and the fact that i wanted some of the characters to have different reactions here and there. Tayo's affair was also something that could have been removed, especially the drama that surrounded it, i just didn't buy it, it put me off.
Overall it is good, but i just can't forget about things that really upset me.
And who here is really pissed of about Tayo's father? I know i am.

Confusing.

Admittedly, I'm not the most sophisticated of readers. I saw ecchi and harem in its description and thought fun. When I found myself more interested in the long winded explanations about scuba diving studded in the chapters than the actual story, I knew I picked up the wrong series.

There is some nudity/sexual activity and the art is decent but there isn't nearly enough to be worth reading based solely on that. In terms of story, it is pretty depressing/tragic; not a genre I particularly care for. All the psuedo-historical/religious stuff was a turnoff and the plot twists were too abrupt. In the end, I think the story tried to create a fantasy in a realistic setting and the mix just didn't sit well (at least with me).

Personally I loved it, a wonderful romance that takes on a more dramatic tone over an ecchi tone. It's almost as if nearly all the ecchi moments are somewhat dramatic ^^ But anyways, I enjoyed it a lot.

The way the ending turned out is great, even though there are some things I wish were explained a bit more (i.e. Mar, what was the deal with the ruins in the first place, small things like that).

Also, really enjoyable artstyle that seems almost more...seems very...unique compared to most other harems out there.

Over all, I really liked the story. The ending satified me well enough... but I'm not going to lie... I'm left with questions. What was so special about the whale. What was the connection to the ruins. Why were people getting sick when apparently there was nothing wrong to begin with. The plot seemed to do this 180 in the end and everything you had read up till wasn't really applicible.

Regardless of it's faults though... I still really really liked it... Then again, I want to learn how to scuba dive... and personal bias is always the way to go.

I close on this final note:
As much as I liked the main girl.... a part of me was rooting for Moi though... I will admit.

Ok, it was not that bad.
The plot had some twists that
weren't very real and the ending was
pretty hastily done. In fact, I have no
idea what happened in the end.
The text was there and the art was there,
but it simply resonated void to me.
Perhaps I read it too fast or it just made
no sense. Also, a bit too much drama
for me... In short, I didn't like the ending, but
it was somewhat okay in general.
Now I feel empty... I am such a pansy. .___.
I should remind myself to not read any harem
stuff since they always make me feel uneasy in
the end. You know that the guy always picks the
wrong girl etc.

Good beginning, but ultimately disappointing :(

I really enjoyed this series at first: I liked the characters, their developing relationships, the mystery they were trying to uncover, etc.

But somewhere in the middle the story line seemed to turn into a muddle. To me, it felt like the mangaka just kept tossing in more and more subplots, side issues, plot twists, people with hidden secrets in their pasts, and a lot of other odds and end that just overwhelmed the original storyline.

End result was that by the end of the series there were large number of loose ends and unresolved major issues that were just left dangling, and the story wound up feeling unfinished. The last few chapters felt like they were all just thrown together haphazardly, with a lot of miscellaneous new plot twists and secrets from the past made up out of thin air and tossed in at random.

Potential Not Fully Reached
by decisions

Though the plot of the story was not particularly amazing to me, this would have been one of my all time top favorites if the potential of the story was fully reached. Don't get me wrong, this was a good story, but at many points it felt like nothing really progressed, regardless of whether or not it was fun to read.

The first real romance started up rather suddenly, out of the blue. I felt like it was a classic case of the naive hero and the tsundere getting closer. But why? What really caused it? One moment they were starting to become friends and the next they were talking about being engaged?

Other romances developed as well, but I never felt that any of them were resolved properly. Even in the second to last chapter, the manga basically says "the sisters got together and had their first serious conversation and only one thing was resolved."

The most cute romance was the most inappropriate -- Mio. A fact revealed in the final volume makes it even less appropriate, yet it seems like those feelings remain, and if Taiyo is anything like his dad...

The arts are pretty good, except the fact that the girls look slightly different throughout the manga. It seems that the author had the exact same model for all the female characters, or at least the grown ups. I can't remember how many times I've mistaken Nagisa for another woman. Lot's of fan service for you and beautiful colored panels though.
The romance was pretty good up to a certain point, you'd prefer Taiyo to be more mature but he's just a high school student after all. Quite disappointed with the Peru part, I didn't expect Taiyo to go all the way with the other girl. Too bad Shibuki sort of disappears and Taiyo doesn't quite keep in touch with her, not to mention the sister complex with Mio. Mio liking him was realistic, but he being aroused while seeing her asleep was really no good and left me uncomfortable ~ she's so young ^^'
Crappy ending, you'd expect a little more details, seems like some stuff was left unsettled like Taiyo's affair with Aida and how he managed to make up with Shibuki about that. I hate when the ending is stereotypical, the "a few years after" type of ending was so so.

A Light Mystery

A light mystery seems to be the best term to describe. It had great twist and mysteries that kept you reading, but unlike most mysteries the tone wasn't dark.

this manga got me hooked around Vol 3 so if u dont like the first vol just keep reading =) Also, the ending was kinda weird. it was really confusing, and it seemed like the author rushed through it. other than the ending and beginning, this was a really good mysterious manga

i recommend it
