Ok, it was not that bad. The plot had some twists that weren't very real and the ending was pretty hastily done. In fact, I have no idea what happened in the end. The text was there and the art was there, but it simply resonated void to me. Perhaps I read it too fast or it just made no sense. Also, a bit too much drama for me... In short, I didn't like the ending, but it was somewhat okay in general. Now I feel empty... I am such a pansy. .___. I should remind myself to not read any harem stuff since they always make me feel uneasy in the end. You know that the guy always picks the wrong girl etc.
awsome... really great.. way better than his previous work a must read. supernatural and romance at the same time.. u dont see that everyday. ^^ give it a try..
I am throughly enjoying my read of IO the story is well done and the development is well paced too the girls are drawn in a manner which befits the title! hehe good read! although its ending soon!!!! and it aint coming to me quick enough!!
Most people have already said what I would say so I'll keep this short. What I dislike most about this manga is how some of the characters do some absolutely horrible things and yet the main characters seem to sympathize with them. I won't spoil the story with examples here (read my post in the forum topic "IO The Ending" for a specific example) but if you read through it all then really think back on it, these actions are really unforgiveable.
That aside, I did read this from start to finish and the truly bad mangas are the ones that can't keep me interested so I can't give this a truly bad rating. Just know that there are some characters you're going to want to at best beat upside the head (Taiyo for one), at worst (I know she dies) throw in a jail cell for the rest of their life.
I liked a lot the story telling, the technical facts and the detail of scuba diving (reminds me of Beck with the guitars ) and also lots of details in the machines, vehicles but sadly this details sometimes lacks in the girls sometimes the drawing of the girls looks weird but something that I liked of the girls drawing was the bits of tummy fat thats makes the girls look more real than fic
For the boys (like me) lots of bikinis over beautiful girls n///n
Has lots of parts action packed, has its parts full off love love <3 and others just fun with the girls ^^
Lots of mixed feelings but over all great read, made me stick till the bitter end dont regret reading it
The plot was interesting, the twists were nice, i enjoyed the drama and i learned a bit about diving, but... The last third of the story just wasn't good enough for me, that could have been better, way better, especially because i wanted it to tie everything up, and it didn't, that and the fact that i wanted some of the characters to have different reactions here and there. Tayo's affair was also something that could have been removed, especially the drama that surrounded it, i just didn't buy it, it put me off. Overall it is good, but i just can't forget about things that really upset me. And who here is really pissed of about Tayo's father? I know i am.
I agree with most of ppl comment here, the story did not reach it potential. It build up quite a deep and interesting mystery, but somehow it was not solved well in the end and leave me unsatisfied, i don mean it really bad, it's quite a lot of details in the couple of last chapters, it's just lack of something. About the harem twist, it's really light in the beginning and most of the first half of story but then it suddenly went out blue and even become a bit creepy and complex. And it does not solved well neither.
Anyway, it was quite good read, it's worth my 6 hours reading at least. I think the biggest problem it deals with a lot of genres: drama, mystery, harem, rommance, ecchi, supernatural also a bit tragic and comedy... all of them became good part of the story but none of them can go above average.
this manga got me hooked around Vol 3 so if u dont like the first vol just keep reading =) Also, the ending was kinda weird. it was really confusing, and it seemed like the author rushed through it. other than the ending and beginning, this was a really good mysterious manga
this is a really good manga i didnt expect it to be this good. sort of like ichigo 100% but with some mysterious magic sort of thing at work. also did someone say this is discontinued?? i hope not id be very disappointed =(. and if anyone knows of any group that continued this and is active plz tell
