It's not really a manga that's all that good, per se. It's a trivial story mostly revolving around a cat who makes ramen, and his main customer. More characters are added on as it goes along, but that's basically it. "A cat runs a ramen restaurant. Hilary ensues." (Well, hilary might be saying a bit much...)

I do still like it, though.

If you enjoy clean, over the top, bait and switch style comedy, this manga is perfect for you. Granted, not every joke translates well, and I had to look up the term 'Char siu' before I realized they meant that thin little piece of meat that comes on ramen - but most of the time if you have even a vague understanding of Japanese cuisine, it is truly funny. I'm glad I was able to get my hands on all 4 Tokyopop volumes. Too bad we'll probably never see the last 2 or the spin-off.

reminds me of american comics that each panel is a different plot and does not relate to the other ones. I love the anime so i decided to read the manga and it's pretty much the same style but I find the manga and panels are too short. I wish there was more dialogue.
