I have read only 2 works from this mangaka. This one and Mantis Woman. Shoujo pandora by far surpasses Mantis Woman. Mantis Woman isn't even worth reading. There's 4 stories in Shoujo Pandora and they're far more polished. I thought that this collection was created at least 10 years later than Mantis Woman but I was surprised to see it was made 2 years prior.

What you'll get here. Lovely artwork, guro, unique monster character designs, extreme violence. Are the stories themselves scary? That's debatable but they're definitely not boring. Some are better than others. Even the 2nd story that's the most cliche/predictable one (essentially a Frankenstein monster one) is beautifully drawn and shows the effort the mangaka put in it (in comparison with the travesties from his other collection, that looked like hastily drawn and thrown together for a quick buck, these looked like the mangaka actually enjoyed making them).

The stories might not have scared me per se but there's loads of scenes that made me twitch plus there's also quite a few beautifully drawn panels.

Definitely read it if you're into horror. If you've read Mantis Woman before and didn't like it, don't let that hold you back.
