:D Loved It Because I Only Read 11 Volumes + End

The first 11 chapters of Hot Blooded Woman is the most hilarious thing you can read. I am nothing like the main character Ha Ji but I loved the story to death and found it romantic, funny, and somewhat well developed compared to the higher majority of shojos. The story was great and really kept me hooked. Once the talking ghost disappears, Aram is no longer causing trouble, and the bodies are switched back, there is nothing really interesting left to the story. The volume 11 ending was really good enough and if it had ended there it would've been a satisfying place to stop, so that's where I stopped. No complaints there biggrin

dont get me wrong if i REALLY LIKE a manga i will go to hell and back to read a new chapter and i will read 400 chapters and enjoy every one and not get tired of it. it wasn't that this was a bad manga either, it was great! i loved the story line and plot! so even tho i knew getting into it i wouldn't finish it (cuz i didn't have ALL the elements i like in a manga) i had to start it anyways cuz the plot was to alluring. the lead male gets on my nerves a bit. only a little bit tho. but it is saying a lot sense i love the jerk types in mangas usally but this guy isn't a jerk he is just .... -_- it really is good but the drama is way to intense for me. i love a LITTLE drama but there are so many twists and such and im only on chapter 50. D: i didn't want to be there when the author started getting desperate to keep the audiences attention and started throwing in REALLY crazy twists. the arts nice. plots great. its a good read if your into dramas

Love this story so much It was the funniest story that I ever read - I laugh so hard that I even could`t sleep. Ha ji is my favorite female lead - strong character that doesnt change under males preassure without any melodramatic effects that I hate in Shoujo
However I think this is the best work of this author so far I tried to read other stories from her but get bored very quickly

I really Really liked this manga to begin with. However, half way through it just started to repeat itself and was dragged out for WAY to long. Really just get the two main people together and call that that. You don't need to make the same problems happen over and over and over again. it gets boring. I wouldve liked it better if i had read the first half and then the last chapter.

Plot - original. Very original. Actually, the first five volumes were probably the best and funniest things i've read in a while now. The drama is intense, but the drama constantly changes from topic to topic because of the characters and how they deal with the situations. Usually a bloody fight would be taken seriously but since they are all jjangs and gangmembers or whatever they just take it like they're playing around o_o its kind of refreshing though..haha. However, the plot gets boring after the second arch in my opinion....
Spoiler (highlight to view)
after she gets her body back... the story began to drag.

Art - poor...but I really enjoyed the story and I got used to the art after a bit. I actually really like it now smile It's an older style but the story really makes up for it.

Characters- probably the highlight of the story. It's one of the first mangas where my favorite character is the main female lead. She is not that smart, but she can fight for herself and she chooses to trust people by her own judgement (she doesn't blindly trust people). Usually the female leads are boring forgetable characters who blindly follow the guy around and always worry about everything..but Ha Ji doesn't cave into the common norm, she's happy the way she is and she doesn't even think about changing herself for the sake of others. It made me so happy to see such a positive female lead for once
Spoiler (highlight to view)
one of the things i love about her is that she is almost always optimistic. she trusts people because she chooses to, and when people questioned her relationship with Sinoo, she said "he approves, I approve. That should be enough". I love her confidence!

I also really like sinoo, although I lost interest in him
Spoiler (highlight to view)
after he and ha ji get together because he just becomes the "nice guy" and i also wanted to see him fight more often.
he was definitely more of a typical male lead. And Han Seo...man..I don't even know what to think about him without spoiling everything. He is completely complicated...:s I like him and dont like him..its a complicated feeling. But he's definitely an interesting character - and preferred over a boring character smile

Overall enjoyement - 10/10..the characters were fun and the situations were fun smile physical fights were more prominent than mental fighting (which happens in chick-dramas) which was more refreshing, i laughed a lot because of Ha Ji's stupidness.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
especially the hotel part..when she started swinging the lamp around and sinoo yelled "s and m??!??!" I died at that part hahahhaha

I really enjoyed this manga for a while, or at least, for some parts. For the first like, 10 volumes, despite there being a lot of overly violent, disturbing parts, it was funny, and I really liked Ha Ji (she was strong, dense, and her reactions were funny, and I thought she was a good person). But then.... it just got really, really bad after the half-way mark. If the author just ended it at volume 10-11, it would have been passable. People had said this was good, since Ha Ji was a kick-ass heroine, but seriously, I really, really hated her near the end. I actually skipped reading all the volumes until the very end, and I still understood what was going on. Which may have been a really suckish thing, actually, because, to say the least, I was disappointed amazingly by the (frankly) awful ending. The only reason this gets a 5 and not a 1 is because it made me laugh and was interesting in the beginning.

Over Rated

So I started reading this story based on the high rating it got. I expected this to be epically mind blowingly amazing but instead it was lukewarm. I honestly don't see why people leave rave reviews about this story. The characters are so-so (with the exception of Sin) and the story itself feels dragged out. The main character is endearing and charming at first but then grows to be annoying as the story progresses. Personally, I found the fact that she was so quick to forgive and trust her best friend who repeatedly abused her to be insanely annoying.
As far as the comedic aspect of the story goes, the jokes were repetitive although this did help to keep the story light. As I said before, the story got dragged out after the first 12 volumes, kind of like a daytime soap opera. My recommendation would be to read the first 12-15 volumes then skip right to the end. You're not really missing anything.

The comedy is good for about 5-6 volumes. I cried laughing at the hotel scene where she is swinging around furniture and the guy is thinking, "S&M?!" However, it got worse and worse to the point that I really don't like this series. It gets a "3" because the early comedy raised its score a bit.

Sort-of spoiler:
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Once she switched back bodies, it was like a whole new story over again. That was really irritating and repetitive.

The climax is the worst scene ever. You spend the whole series thinking Ha Ji is an essentially good person but then...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
... she loses her trust in her best friend by not believing that he was a good person to the end. When she loses her trust, she chooses to try and save her own life by pulling the trigger on a gun which is presumably aimed at her boyfriend. Of course, if she had trusted her friend then she would have realized that he never would have done that to her.

Then you see everyone with (mostly) happy endings later on and you're like, WTF?
