I don't know if the deal here is really as simple as "I'll be gay for you exclusively" as it is, or if we're missing some layers of meaning that naturally follow the twirl of emotions we can only expect Nogi to be going through. In the end of the day, the story is pretty inconclusive. We don't even get to know for sure if they end up as a couple. Nogi wants Fujiwara to know he accepts him and his love, but this "homosexuality" thing is news to him. He feels pressured to label himself perhaps --- they both do --- and hence comes the "let me be homo then, but for you only" thing. It even things out, it eases the mood and it more or less settles the whole deal so that they can go back to the rooftop and resume their daily life.

It sounded reasonably enough for me to close the page with a smile on my face. On the whole it was a very cute, warm tale of schoolboy love and friendship and discovery. I quite liked it.
