It was an okay read but nothing special. The art is fine but there's better. The characters were okay but not that interesting and the story also wasn't great. The tribal setting is interesting but it doesn't come across as authentic. I expected better but for a one time read it's acceptable.

anyway im not a yaoi hater but i dont read it either.. lets just say that i appreciate its appeal but it just feels so wrong!~ and it makes me feel so guilty! >.< but anyway this one is really pretty and theyre all so HOT! just imagine hunks going around with nothing with nothing but loincloths on? i mean cmon! but yeah.. the story wasnt that deep and it feels like the art is more emphasized but thats awesome too.. so yeassssh! thats awesome at least it didnt left me with a real bad feeling like ive sinned against boy kind

I don't read Yaoi. It freaks me out. I'd never read Yaoi even if it killed me. I went through smut from seinen shojo josei and shonen. I could take a little Yuri but definetely not Yaoi. I expected Wild Rock to be an idiotic story. It only piqued my interest because people kept comparing it to Butterly Night? But But But. This was just sooooooo

I hate to admit it but I was able to go through all 6 chapters with my eyes peeled open. The art was gorgeous. Dang, Emba is sooooo hot *swoon*. Yuujen, well, it would've been better if he was my boyfriend lol. just kidding. Because yuujen looked like a freaking girl, it was easy for me to imagine that he was one. That made the story lighter for me.
Back to what I was saying. This is nothing like Butterfly night. I mean I dont see the similarities. I just dont see it. Butterfly night was good. This was also good. That's the only similarity. (and the smut).
I just dont kno how the heck did Kayono end up being accused of plagiarising something that has not a drop of similarity?
Anyway, all in all, this was a great story. This will be the first and LAST yaoi manga I'll ever read in my life.

i don't know y some ppl say that this was not good and even compare it to Harlem. Harlem was not even yaoi it was SHOUJO! So please do not compare it to SHOUJO!

I'm not a huge fan of yaoi mangas.
And to be truthful, I detest them. I mean, look! Guy x Guy is just wrong ! WRONG WRONG WRONG !

I happen to know this manga because of Koibana. You see, the forum was filled with the court issue. I wanted to see how similar both the manga were, so I decided to take a peek .. And I ended up reading more.

After reading this manga, my impression of yaoi mangas changed.. a lot, seriously.
Unlike others who dislikes how the author made the character girly, I actually liked that idea. I feel that it is quite suitable for starters like me, who are still not used to 2 muscular guys making out with each other.

Anyway, the story was short and simple with an appropriate length. It was just right. Any longer might ruin the manga. The side stories were great too (I loved them to bits).

Perhaps now, because of this manga, I can have the courage to read yaoi mangas already

I agree with milkga-gemma; the artwork is fantastic, but its downfall is its plot. Eeh, nothing exciting until Emba comes into play... But other than that, the little side story with the two chief leaders of their own tribe wasn't too bad either. Blaaahh.

complete waste of time. I love the art, but the story is awfully boring. after reading Harlem Beat (which I loved very much), I was expecting something more entertaining.

read it years ago and have yet to reread since. reason? i enjoyed this manga so much i am afraid to reread it until i believe i am ready. it is weird, yes, but still i love this manga and hope you all will too.

other yaoi manga i feel to have a strong impression: sweet revolution, only ring finger knows (the novels), desire, time lag, pet on duty, totally captivated, and some more.

I really like the extra LOL soo cute!!! Anyways i thought this series will be smutty and fortunately it's not. Both stories were simple, different and heart warming. I like the story between the fathers better, the development was better than the main couple. Overall great series and awesome art!!
