There he encountered researcher, Yasoshima Shiro, who reminded Hinari of his first love, a gentle police captain. I don't know if it's bad translations or what but the writing comes off as a grade schoolers work.
It literally spells everything out as it jumps from one sentence to the next. There's no subtext or subtlety or any realism. It's like someone way too young was asked to write a Love story about forensics so they just threw up info left and right. Real, real bad.

I don't know how convincing their love is, but it is a well written story all the same. It has a good pace. Very good, clean, expressive artwork and each character is distinctive, which is always a plus(because personally, I hate having to think too much about who is who and that happens quite often).

I liked this one for its unique 'teaching' approach through the obsessive/compulsive police lab researcher. He was so bizarre and yet so likeable. In fact, although the very first scene with him seems slightly dub-con, he actually is a very thoughtful -and fun- lover.
THere is a lovely 'humanness' about this story: from the hesitant but eager n00b police officer uke to the fully experienced, manipulative and fun-spirited seme. They both love their jobs and that is part of the charm that is this story.
Although the story is left unfinished with dangling loose ends (we don't know what happened to Hinari's first love; and Yasoshima never actually reaches a climax with his story), it is still worth reading for the spellbinding delight it does offer with its lively, fun-spirited story and Kanbe-sensei's expressive art.

Very nice and sweet. Reminded me a little of Yami No Matsuei.. minus the paranormal and the stalkers... Characters were very likeable. Something kinda unfinished about it though.
It had a storyline, and it was interesting. I like how they talked about those DNA stuff.
They focused more on the romance than the actual detective work. I thought it would've been cool if they had more detective scenes, or actual police work. But it was pretty vague. (That's the reason i gave it a 9 instead of a 10.) But well, it IS a yaoi manga.
It felt a bit rushed, but still good.
Cute art, and the last chapter is funny.
