I don't think I will ever get used to this mangaka art style, it's so difficult to follow the characters expresions. The old type of yaoi manga often dissapoint me this way.
When it comes to the story... I really don't like the indecisive, screaming type of uke's and here we have one. Even though he should be 32 (or even 38), he acts at best 16. I get it that he was scared of people and so on but that was a bit too much. There was this same characer development each chapter. It's like with every step, we were going backwards each time another issue appeared.
It wasn't a bad manga but wasn't good either.

Don't let the cover or premise misguide you. The story is pretty slick, with an unusual thrust, that just makes you want to come to it (lol; I am sorry).
On a more serious note, the premise is actually nicely, if a bit too exaggeratedly, developed with and the characters pretty cool and cute. The art also might seem a bit rough in the start but it quickly grows on you, and it there are panels where the drawing gets really good. Moreover, it is always refreshing to see oyaji characters. Tho if there's any defining characteristic of Naono Bohra's work then it is quirky premises and smut, definitely the smut.
Overall tho I feel that the story line was somewhat over the place, and a bit confusing at times, even as it linked with Motoya's and Nakagawa's past and tried to lend more depth to the characters and story.

Haha! 32 is old? Cultural perceptions are hilarious. :D

I'm not in my 30s, but I found it hysterical that the story treated a 32 year old guy like he was ancient. I know several cultures (particularly places like Japan, Korea, China, etc.) think after 30 you're old, ancient, have no more potential romantically, and so on.

But seriously? And the rookie guy liking his boss with a 7 year age difference is hardly liking "older men." After your early twenties, 7 years isn't too big an age gap, really.

Anyway, I chuckled through the whole thing with all the age references (almost like every other page). It's really a big deal for them, isn't it?

As for the story, it was fairly cute, fairly interesting (I liked the telepathy aspect, which I don't see a lot), and fairly entertaining. The clothes and hair looked a bit dated, but nothing seriously painful. It's a bit sappy, but also not too painfully so. It lacked some depth, and could have been better with it.

Art is hit or miss.

NAONO Bohra's art can be a hit or a miss. At times it can be hot and the characters can be attractive, while other time the shading is dark and very detailed--not to my liking. The comedy was annoying but okay.

Visually dated, but still good.

You can tell Yubisaki no Koi was drawn before Naono found her groove, as the characters look a little weird at times (Nakagawa's neck during the first love scene always freaks me out; he looks like some monster from a Final Fantasy game). The story makes up for any visual shortcomings, and it's a good attention grabber. I really love the kidnapping chapters, even if they are a little cliched. Bonus points for Nakagawa's present.

I like that it was adapted to a drama CD, though my only complaint is that Maizuru and Nakagawa's voices are too similar. If it weren't for Maizuru using "boku", you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. It's a tough story to adapt to audio, and they pulled it off nicely.

It was pleasing to read this. The first chapter gave the 'Oh-How-Typical' kinda feel with how fast it was moving but the next few chapters awed me. The uke's traumatic past being told and how he dealt with it was very good. I liked it a lot. However, I was kinda hoping for more.... Hehe, it's been awhile since I read something that left me craving for more.

In a nutshell,
a) Artwork needed some touch-ups and may turn you off but trust me, story's worth it
b) Plot had some holes but it was good enough to keep you occupied (like, REALLY occupied)
c) Good read for anyone who's constantly looking for some yaoi

Well, for people like me who's probably read too much to be entertained anymore, I found this manga very satisfying and I'm a sucker for an uke who has a phobia so my review may be a bit biased. Still, if you're planning on holding this manga off, make sure you read it someday cuz its worth your time.

Lol last panels of chapter one made me laugh so much xD love the expressions the characters have sometimes, especially with the inevitable 'pause' moment before they suddenly change *snicker* I also love the revenge scene at the end of chapter 2 -that'd work on me too *allergies suck* Anyway overall a good series, a bit slow in places i found but nothing that cant be forgiven :3 art is of course always awesome from this mangaka, and i like the characters in this story, they make me laugh and they have some interesting emotional instances as well as an amusing relationship with each other.
