It's the year 2020 AD, and Tokyo II is a city infested with crime. Women can no longer go out in the streets alone without being victimized. Not wanting their daughter to suffer the same fate, Tsukasa Kozuki's cop parents raise her as a boy. When they are suddenly killed by one of the yakuza's in-fights, Tsukasa is left orphaned on the streets along with her three brothers.

With no other options, she goes to the only person she can think of for help: pokerface Ryuji Shirogami, her classmate of 8 years and also the head leader of the powerful yakuza group, Kuryugumi. Ryuji, whose father was also a victim of the same yakuza fight, agrees to take her on as his personal bodyguard. As they set out to find their enemy, Ryuji slaps an increasing amount of debt onto Tsukasa, using all manner of ploys to keep the reluctant Tsukasa by his side.

Great but just some minor issues....

This series is great but it's sad that there were some pages that weren't translated in most of the chapters. I also didn't like the fact that she was naked more than enough times. Other than that, this series is great and I highly recommend it!

I loved every single bit of it. I think Yoshiki Nakamura is the only mangaka who has delivered brilliant stories that I believe make manga such an art. The story was great, the art was fantastic, and there were so many unexpected things that happened that I couldn't help but be sucked right into this imaginary world. I love all the characters. I cried with them, laughed with them, mourned over them, and enjoyed every second I spent reading it. This manga has found a place in my heart with ease.

Chapter 1 gave me a best impression. but as I kept on reading, why is it that in (mostly) every occasions she had to be saved by Ryouji? I actually found her interesting, able to fight and not so interested in girlish thing, pretty dense, and strong.
Maybe it's just me but what I find most annoying was she's always somehow naked,I dropped it at chapter 7. (auction)
It's ridiculous.
I mean,really... I had a big expectations since the rating was good, and almost everyone gave a positive review, and it's Nakamura Yoshiki's. GAH. A total disappointment for me.
The drawing gets better (skipped to chapter 109) and the story was interesting (though it's nonsense how Ryouji managed to keep on adding her debt)

I think I finished this Manga 4 times already !
It's really nice to have a strong shoujo heroine for once, and the plot, even though it sometimes goes haywire hard time, is quite good.

Just a small detail : The protagonists are supposed to be 14. I always read while imagining they're at least 4 years older, it's just plain impossible for me otherwise, especially concerning Ryuji ! '-_-

At first I was not interested in reading this manga at all, the synopsis didn't really catch my attention and the art was not that great, but I went and read it and I loved it, both the characters and the story.

I've read this many times and will probably read it again, I'm not a fan of shoujo manga but I like this one because there's action and fighting It's a very enjoyable read.

I'd had this in my To Do List for ages but I'd never gotten around to reading it. Now I'm so glad I did! It's a wonderfully written manga with very lovable characters. It had a very interesting plot and the pace of the story was excellent. The art, at first, looked a bit old fashioned, but that is to be expected. It's actually a great treat to watch how sensei's art became better and better gradually until it was almost perfect!

i loved it. i loved her fighting scenes. the story was good too. only reason i give it a 9.5 was because i wanted to see them together like married or something along that line. but it was a really good manga. i'm glad i read it after putting it off for so long. i didnt like the art in the beginning but it got better and i got used to it. i loved kamo san and also shiva. well i guess i loved everyone in the manga. it even made me cry at points

This is one of my favorite mangas. When i first looked at it I had no hope for it. I only started to read it because i'm a sucker for gender benders. But the more i read the more i fell in love with all the characters. Tsukasa was so amazing. A lot of manga make the lead female totally useless or say that they can fight but when ever there was a real fight then they can't fight at all. But Tsukasa was always strong and independent which made her one of my favorite characters. Not to mention how Ryuji was a great character that helped make Tsukasa so cool. This manga is great. It has fighting, romance, comedy and just an overall great storyline.
