This may be my favorite oneshot I've ever read. The story was so unique and it didn't end in the stereotypical way. The art is very elegant and the way Sumomo writes the story, it's almost like reading a poem. Her words are beautiful.

It's innocent, painful, pleasant, melancholic yet gladsome and beautiful. Beautiful in its simplicity. The manga-ka knows how to successfully trigger an emotional reaction from the readers. This one-shot embodies that magical feeling which distinguish her manga from the rest.

That's just too bittersweet...
Most of the mangakas stories are like that, if not all...
Beautifull... The end is so sad... *weep*
Romantic, but so sad... I wonder...

Personally, I love this manga-ka. She makes every story elegant and lovely. Hers is the kind of story that makes a person want to go back and re-read the story over and over.
This story was nice. It had romance, and the characters were interesting.
But I didn't really particularly like it. Sure, it was pretty and I liked the storyline, but I think I've seen something similar in Hotarubi no Mori E, and frankly, I liked that story better.

It wouldn't be the best choice to start with in Sumomo sensei's manga, but it's fine as a quick read, I suppose.

This oneshot is absolutely gorgeous. Yumeka takes her time with the layout and doesn't rush the story, and the sense of longing for human contact and loneliness are beautifully portrayed through her artwork and the subtle changes in expression the characters have. It's such a bittersweet story, and it's fantasy element in an otherwise normal world, the narration and the page layouts remind me of Chou ni Naru Hi. It's a 40 page oneshot, published in volume 8 of the Gensou Collection, and it's definitely worth buying--or waiting for it to be in the next volume of Tengujin (guessing it'll pop up in there).
