according to Joen, he said this manga is confusing and suk, oke, it not.
This one is like the pioneer of gender bender, and I enjoy this genre. I read a lot, in fact, a good plot for this genre always a girl with guy mind and blend in with the people with the fake appearance. Those always create hilarious situation. So read it and you know.

Only found the first chapter

This being shoujo, and made in the 70s made me think that this would just be a yuri manga disguised as something else. There are times I don´t really get the gender bender sub genre, and sometimes where I enjoy it. But I always go in thinking why will it be necessary, or more accurately, is this just going to be an excuse for yuri. Which doesn´t make sense, since there´d be no reason to make that excuse in the first place.

Based on the first chapter though... actually the first chapter doesn´t answer that. The boy is weird but most guys are romantics I think. That aside, its well written, funny, and the style doesn´t seem that old or even shoujo to me.

The scans I found were also very clean. So while the art doesn´t stand out, its not being forced to in anyway because nothing that crazy with action happens. And its very functionable.

Promising...

I thought this story was really promising. It actually has fairly good art for it's age, and the plot was not terrible or depressing like a lot of stories this old.
I thought it was funny, yet still intriguing because I wanted to see how Eitaro would come along as living as a woman, getting revenge on his "19 Pretty girls" (?) group, and how the husband of the girls body he's in now would act latter. (That is, will he become more then a comedy act?) It would be interesting to find out how he will finally be able to give up on the wife which Eitaro's brain now posses. So yeah, to put it simply, I actually found this really quite enjoyable to read! I just wish there were more chapters out in English...

Hey guy. You ARE reading a 70s manga.
In fact, a groundbraking one for the gender-bender genre.
(Thats the reason why they even bothered to start scanlating something older than 30 years)

First Shoujo Manga I Liked . . . And Surprisingly, It Is a Gender-Bender!

First of all, LOL @ the idiot below saying that this manga gives off an impression of a 70s manga, when it is actually a 70s manga. laugh

Anyways, like others have said, this is a very funny story. The author has an obsession with Hitler, so he deliberately drew the scientist that way (another fail for that judgmental guy), which turned out pretty good.

What I really liked is the main character, because I felt that I could really relate to him, wanting real love and romance as well as falling for every pretty girl. bigrazz Also, at his age, I believe I also wanted marriage.

Although I dislike gender-bender (and shoujo, but I will get to that in a minute), the title uses the second least unacceptable kind (after having a girl dress up as boy), which is implanting a boy's mind in a girl's body, as opposed to disgustingly feminizing the protagonist like Aki-Sora or, to a lesser extent, Yomeiro-Choice and Seikon no Qwaser did.

As for the series being shoujo, there are two factors that separate this one from the rest of the sorry excuse for a genre; so much that I might be able to argue that it is actually shounen:

a) It follows a guy; that is better since his thought process is more logical than a girl's would be.
b) Finally, GREAT ARTWORK; I can not say this enough: That has always frustrated me in shoujo titles, using sketchy drawings and unrealistic body proportions (e.g., hands too big, chins too narrow, and big-ass wide eyes, etc.).

Despite this manga's not being as old as some of Tezuka Osamu's earlier gender-bender works, it is an underrated worthwhile gem.
