I decided to fill in the previously blank 'Status in Country of Origin' field with "1 Volume (Complete)" because although the spine is branded with a '1' and possible future volumes were proposed, the first volume is a complete story and any further volumes would have been sequels. Also, Volume 1 came out in 2008 and there has been no indication since then of any more eV coming out, especially in the wake of Tokyopop's demise. (Although I felt "1 Volume (Dropped)" would leave the wrong impression since it IS a self contained story.)

As for the story itself, the surprising ending is sure to delight those with a dark sense of humor. The entire experience is like Marvel Comics meets Star Wars, and fans of either should be left satisfied. The female lead (who is NOT over-sexualized) is fun and this book can definitely be appreciated by either gender.
