Yeah, that's right. this manga portray a group of girls as friends, REAL FRIENDS not just props and part of harem of a guy. this manga is not centered on some unfortunate guy, but on two girls who are the epitome of friends. their relationships are real, and i had never read a manga with this kind of girl relationship. i'm just so amazed by this mangaka.

and this manga is just so dang funny. it parodied a lot of stuff, and it is just uber funny seeing them in super macho form when they are embarrassed or trying to get away from something (instead of the usual chibi form). and let me tell you the dedication of this mangaka in not showing any panties - he replace it with loads of boobs and raunchy jokes lol.

the plot is awesome. not mind bending or anything, but easy to follow and get excited for, the plot travels along very smoothly. the climax feels very intense, and the ending made me drop a tear or two. the mangaka is just skillful in eliciting emotions from the readers at the right place and the right time.

so yeah, please read this manga! you will be greatly entertained.

I can't give a complete review since it isn't a complete series but I really enjoy reading Binbougami so...

Characters
I love the heroine. Ichiko is spoilt at first but as events occur she changes to be nicer. This might seem typical at first but unlike other similar characters, she still has that lovable bitch in her. I just love the relationships between the characters and I mean everyone! From Suwano who like appears only at certain times to Momiji! The crew is like one big family of likable characters. Plus, I feel genuine happiness for the characters when good things happen to them

Story
A ridiculous comedy plot that works! I haven't seen this kind yet (where someone contains too much happiness energy, they have to pay for it). It is hilarious and seriously enjoyable. A freaking page turner. There wasn't a single boring arc even if it was cliche.

Art
I love the art. It's simple and cute (Yes, I'm a girl that's why). I like how the God items are drawn. Nice art that suits the plot and comedy!

After reading the comments below saying how good it was, I decided to give the manga a shot. Surprisingly, what they said was true! The characters are funny and the story is unique with great art. I recommend this to everyone.

Pretty good art. The humor is also good, with many funny references. The story and characters are on the other hand quite standard. If you want something different, then perhaps this isn't it, but if you want a good nice laugh then this is quite good comparing to others.

I really like the style of this manga. The poverty god's character design is so awesome. This manga has a lot of laughs, but it doesn't really have a strong "arc" structure, it's just broken up into little stories. But it's hilarious and the art is just amazing.

This manga drawn my atention since long ago, but I never knew why until recently.

As long as more characters joined the cast I realized it feels exactly like the comedy classics Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura. Not that the plots are the same but in the way that things get funnier when every crazy character enters the fry. The characters grow their comedic value when they are together, just like in those works.

If you liked Rumiko Takahashi's works in the 80-90s and were disappointed with her more recent mangas Binbougami ga! is exactly what you need. Just give it a try untli volumes 3-4.

I agree with kuraixdesu at first I was like "should I buy this manga.." eventually I did and it turned out to be a CLASSIC! Very original and when the classic scenes from many other mangas such as Death Note and Hokuto no Ken come out that's where you can't stop laughing HAHA. Maybe give it a couple more volumes to come out and then I can see an anime for this one and if it does become an anime I expect very high for it! HAHA

I have not found a decent comedy manga in a very long time. This one lifts my spirits. It has a very decent story, a constant bicker between a human and a god (of some sort). This manga is definately not your average one.

Binbougami Ga, what can I say other than that I really enjoy this series a lot and I would consider it in my top 10 or 5 list. It's a series that isn't for everyone as the humor is very whacky and eccentric. It doesn't rely a lot on the shonen cool factor trope. But if the humor resonates with you than you are going to have a fun time with this series.

At first I thought this series would just rely on laugh out moment and become formulaic with a typical momoji scheming against sakura kind of series like a sitcom or those retro cartoons where it's humor is formulaic albeit still funny and good, hey formulas work sometimes hence why some people use it sometimes.

Though I was proven wrong, what I got is a series that was actually pretty deep in character development that going mostly towards sakura and momiji, the side characters were mostly used to improve sakura's character not a bad thing as this series is meant to be about sakura's relationship between the people she knows and how they change her throughout the series they provide good mini arcs and episodic chapters that were good in their own right providing humor and heart at the same time. This series does friendship tropes better than other shonen series say like fairy tail where it so sappy and no stupid nakama bs powerup.

Sakura may appear as a mary sue at first, but I honestly thought it was a unique twist on it that she had noticeable flaws, she was selfish, self centred, foul mouthed and very temperamental, despite her wealth, health, and popularity at school. I love how the author let Sakura be unlikable and not a super friendly shonen heroine at first. but also show how she changes, but not in a way that doesn't feel unnatural and rushed as I see from other series rather I think it is well earnt as we go through her character journey to show the subtle ways she changes and the payoff is satisfying.

The ending was very good too, which I can't say the same for other manga series, as many of them are rushed and are terrible, binbougami ga actually stick the landing for endings. A minor nitpick was I wish the author did a gaiden book to show all the side characters story, I would have love something like that, also some of the villains character were a little weak plus the lack of character death is something I didn't desire though that will vary from person to person. Also appreciate the author explaining the origins on some plot points which were a nice gesture for the series.

Overall, this series I can recommend to people who wants humor with pop cultural references, good main character development and also having a lot of heart and touching drama that lets the main character who is an anti hero at first become more likable and not just keeping the status quo and having a reset button, as I originally thought it was going to be in the first place

I've been reading mangas since 2007 and have read over a 100 mangas. That said, I regret not reading this earlier and the fact that it took me so long to find it speaks volumes about how underhyped this is. Now, coming to the manga review, this is a masterpiece of a manga. Sukeno sensei handles gag, ecchi, drama and battle scenes here with ease. I especially loved the characters and their progressions throughout the series. The gag and parody scenes are wonderfully done as well. Would definitely recommend this hilarious manga to everyone.
