Ritsu inherited his sixth sense from his grandfather, along with a demon guardian named Blue Storm. Strange things just seem to happen around these two, and it's left to them to get to the bottom of all these mysterious events. Each story is independent but features recurring characters you'll come to know and appreciate as they, each in their own way, try to deal with things 'not of this world'.

A Great Surprise

I had to force myself to read this because even though I love folklore and ghost stories, I was wary of reading a manga about it. But what a pleasant surprise! I was instantly drawn to the stories and the beautiful artwork. Each story is unique and haunting. Some leave you feeling melancholy, others are quirky and make you laugh and some stories are just touching.

I wouldn't say it's a scary manga. There are definitely plot twists that creep you out and things that go bump in the night; perhaps the scariest thing to me is that you never know if the character you're looking at is human, alive, dead, possessed, evil--the answer usually turns out to be the last thing you expected! All in all, a wonderful read.

Wonderful manga, it's impossible not to love it. At the beginning the art can look undefined, but it gets better and better with each new tankoubon. It looks very personal and the covers are absolutely amazing. As for the story, someone should cast Ima Ichiko to write the script for a horror movie biggrin. Besides, the comedy gags are so well mixed with the story that you can be all frightened one moment, and laughing your ass off the next one.

I would recommend this manga for everyone, except perhaps for those that only seek a brainless shounen/shoujo.

This is an excellent mixture of Japanese mythology and folklore. I'd say that it's far superior to many similarly themed series, given the intriguing cast, concrete plot and characterisation, and how it combines aspects both modern and old without sacrificing the plot and characterisation. In fact, it has an intense "slice of life" feel given the fairly serious yet magical approach the series assumes and I believe it'd likely appeal to serious readers who're interested in a matured work about the supernatural. This and Dokebi bride(its' Korean counterpart) are definitely top notch works about mythology and folklore.

I wonder why this hasn't been licensed yet, since this is one amazing manga.

Just a note, I used to think that horror mangas couldn't scare the crap out of me, but man... I forgot the chapter, but the story with the cannibal and the hut by the river was frightening!

I really like this manga, it has some unique supernatural stories while presenting them in a very down-to-earth way, while still managing to be very interesting.

The main lead is indeed very likeable, and there's a number of characters that are reoccuring despite the mangas episodic setting(every chapter has it's own story)

This story mixes traditional Japanese mythology/monsters with modern living. It shows how being able to see supernatural beings is no joke. The stories are sometimes scary, sometimes funny. Nice artwork and a likable protagonist. If you like supernatural stories, this is a must-read.

One of the most interesting series that I've ever read! I wonder why it's not popular. The stories are independent, but each of them is great. the no 1 choice for ghost stories' fans
