I would have given 0 points but its not possible.
My bad evaluation is neither because of the art nor that it's not cute enough. My issues with this manga are:
1) the plot starts in the middle and goes nowhere. You start reading the manga and 3 chapters in you are still not sure if it was the beginning where you started and things are going to develop from there or if you are in the middle and you are going to get info in flashbacks. And then neither happens
2) the characters are the same. Is the story about this character or the other or maybe even the third one or the next one.
Still new people get introduced and there are some interesting paths opening - I'm saying paths because the friction that starts never becomes a real conflict - and they go nowhere.
3) and because both the story and the characters are handled so shallowly one doesn't get invested enough to care about any of them.
I got this manga because it was tagged romance and/or shoujo. I
suppose I'd describe it as " a character study of members of the entertainment industry"
so it should be tagged physiological slice of life.
The art was not one I like but it's not bad per se. And it is definitely not fluff. So if you change your expectations/criteria for this manga you might actually like it. Ijust hated it.

Sure the plot isn't great, but at least it's not a typical shoujo plotline.

The starkness of this piece in how it didn't pander to readers... I think made this an even better piece.

You know how life seems to imitate great literature, or great literature attempts to imitate life? There's a spark of that here. It makes one think a bit - or rather, pause in the jarring between the expected "And everyone lived happily ever after" and a semblence of reality.

people cannot understand the story. Or rate it a 1. Or complain & moan about it "not being cute enough! OMG!" It's JOSEI. It's slice-of-life. What are you gonna' expect?!

As for the manga itself. READ IT. It's realistic & shows the ugliness of the inner workings of showbiz. I wouldn't exactly say there were a lot of character development, Rather, I'd say it's the story of how the characters deal with each of their career decisions. & how far some would go to become famous (& the nasty consequences of said actions). I found myself asking "Man, if I was in his/her shoes, would I do the same?" It's THAT type of manga; a manga that has soul.

Personally, it's the kind of manga that I'm reading, but I'm not exactly sure why I'm reading it (or even commenting, except perhaps that new chapters came out recently and aagain I did not particulairly like them)--there are some parts in the story that I am in disbelief in a bad way about it and feel it is not up to the standards of others I am reading (and the art is somewhat distracting--there are plenty of non-fluffy, shoujo out there that are alternative, this just isn't it)...you know, I think I might be reading it because once I start a manga or book, even if it is ghastly or boring (generally, unless it is a nonfiction or textbook), I tend to finish it...

yes, that's right! it's a josei that can be liked if you like the story over the art! for ppl who like in manga the art more than the story, then this is not for you^^; and personally I prefer too a mnaga with good story, ut a bit of good cute awesome art as well! that's why I can't say this is in my liking list!

It's not that bad once you get deeper into the story, though I wouldn't say that it's the best manga out there. The art does takes some getting used to. If you're looking for something that's cute and fluffy, Crash is not for you.
