A really awesome manga!! The plot is smart and the art is great as well. The male character reminds me of Light a little bit. But ugh, sometimes I just really feel like giving the female character a good smack in the head LOL ..The way she just cries every time she got tricked!!! But overall, I reaaaaaallly love this manga. If you're into psychological manga I highly recommend this one. And why this manga isn't getting the popularity it deserves is beyond me

I actually like Liar Game a lot. The way that the games are cleared are pretty plausible in real life (nothing that is too unrealistic, I think). I don't regularly read mysteries/solve puzzles/etc. myself so I wouldn't know anything about the difficulty of the games. But each game keeps me pretty entertained.
I'm kind of surprised that so many people seem to hate Nao. I personally like her. Yes, she is abnormally honest/easily fooled and depends on Akiyama a lot, but I think her character development is something that could get really interesting.
As for the actual plot, I still feel that there should be a stronger reason other than just to earn enough money to get out of the game, but I guess that's something that might happen later.
For now I'll just continue to read this.

So exciting and suspense-packed that I simple could NOT stop reading till the latest chapter 8 hours after downloading volume 1.
Akiyama reminds me of L in Death Note. And Nao is slightly irritating but admirable. Makes you want to believe in people again or the opposite.

Even though I watched the dorama first and basically knew all the plot points I just had. to. keep. reading. The TV version stops after the third round so I was intrigued to see how it would be resolved in the manga. The plot is A+ everything is so logically explained that it's convinced me no game is completely up to chance it just hasn't been explained to me Liar Game style. The art is clear cut and a bit dark, but fitting of the concept. The only thing missing is romance! The shoujo reader in me wants a Nao/Akiyama pairing. They hinted at it in the dorama but I guess it's something they added for the ratings. Oh well, we'll see.
Overall it's really opposite of what I normally read, but that just shows the span of its appeal. Definitely recommended!

I would totally buy it. It's suspense-ridden. At times I'm surprised by the twists in the plot. Sure, there are things you can predict, but in my opinion, the things that you can't make up for it.
Plus, I like the art. :]

The plot is very well thought out, for those who liked death note, this is a must read.

and to "yuchin4life", perhaps your level of intellect is too low to comprehend the fact that when u are part of 3 teams of 8 u essentially reduce the total player by 2. which end up a total of 22 instead of 24. and that is the main point of why regardless which answer mr X votes on, it will end up as the minority. And the only reason u feel the female lead character beeing portraited weak and useless and giving a bad rep for female is that you consider all her traits beeing negative and useless, perhaps you should appreciate people first for what they are in real life so that u dont feel the need to be judgemental and get annoyed by a manga character.
This manga will be much more interesting if the girl would be more useful! I really want to slap or kick the girl everytime she relies on the guy (She is showing that women are weak and that they can't stand on their own feet!) The girl is too naive! She should have shut the door in front of that lawyer's face!!!! D: She is queen Baka of the whole world, as love as people think money is important, the world will never have peace unless love surpasses money..then the world will have peace! The girl must be destroyed!!!!!~~~!!!!~~~~!!!! She believes in people too much!!! That girl..I want to beat some sense into her....hasn't she seem the world already?!!?! Full of lies due to the liar game...the Mr. X wasn't what she thought it was..turned out to be someone else!
This is what I thought up to volume 4....now I'm starting to like her more and more in volumes 5-6, I want to read the next chapter..!

(I guessed who Mr.X was but there was some parts that confused me, for example...Mr. X says that he made 3 groups of 8..but there are only 22 people in that game, 3x8=24 and it can't be 3 groups of 7 since the votes will be different..they wont be able to vote equally, 4-4, 2-2, 1-1)
..shouldn't that make her lose trust in people now!? And not be too naive and gullible!?!? The girl makes me want to punch her face, pull out my hair and run away shouting why is she sooo stupid! and it makes me want to punch the computer screen since her face is in it >.>This is what I thought up to volume 4....now I'm starting to like her more and more in volumes 5-6, I want to read the next chapter..!

I like the manga, it's different, it's original, it makes me laugh, and it makes me want to read more. ^_^
Though the main character kept me from rating this series a 10. There is a limit to your "honesty." She's so honest that she's blindly stupid and can't see people for who they really are when they even straight out say they're con artists/swindlers who don't give a shit about her...and yet she's...URGH. Stupid characters make me facepalm and bang my head. But I still continue the manga because it is a great manga, I won't let one character stop me from enjoying it.

this one is cool. Altho I HATE THE MAIN GIRL CHARACTER SO MUCH, i really want to kick and slap her. Seriously. It's not being HONEST anymore, it's being STUPID!! Too honest = too stupid!

It was a very interesting read. You can learn a lot, but swindling is bad! Reminded me of death note with all the thinking stuff...loved it but the girl got me really annoyed. Shes just plain stupid, like how many times can she get tricked?! I want to beat the hell outa her GRRR! But love it over all
