Actually i'm quite fond of horror stories, especially seinen ones, and even though this one is a shonen, I enjoyed it. I love the art, and the story, although somehow "cliché" in the start, is supposed to be very complex, since it comes from a computer game, and as far as I have read, it's very exciting and I want to see more of it.

This is essentially a much lighter version of Corpse Party: Musume made for a younger audience. A few characters were removed and a number were added, however the basic plot is nearly identical, albeit altered to be more appropriate for its target audience. The tone is very similar to something like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni; occasional graphic scenes but nothing that will affect anyone over the age of 13. Chances are that if you're reading this online you probably aren't in the target age group and it won't scare you in the slightest.

I expected something interesting. The idea is not bad, of course there are others who did something similar, and if the plot is good and the dialogues flowing, anything could be done. But this manga is boring at its best, but mostly annoying. The characters seem stupid, and as others have mentioned, the excess of horror scenes ruins everything. I think this manga is targeting young readers, who are easily impressed.

So far, I'm not very impressed with it. I'm not getting any feeling of atmosphere or horror and the characters are hard to believe in. It's not terrible but it's light and brainless reading that doesn't leave a strong impression - not really what I'm looking for in horror.

Part of the whole appeal to the Corpse Party games/stories was the idea that "no one was safe" but this version turns down the gore, morbid images, violence and death so much so that almost all the tension is gone. The result is a cheap shounen horror story that fails to redress most horror cliches in a satisfying manner.
