Description

This... takes the original play by Chikamatsu Monzaemon, adds ecchi, and gives it a different ending. To say it's based on a classic is really... abusing the classic, to say the least.

Loving your childhood friend to the point where you will save her from being a prostitute, being sold to an old man, run away with her while faking your deaths. We need more of that.

Well, to be honest, this is not anything that can outstand from the rest of the oneshot world. It's just a typical story of two people who love each other so so much and they are both good-looking and desired by (many) other people.
But well, I enjoyed it cause it's somewhat a typical manga of Kawashita Mizuki. It's just so her that I immediately took a liking on it. Some time I need a middle manga like this among the very best and very worst mangas out there.

I have always loved Kawashita-sensei's work, and this one-shot may have been her best. The sense of historical setting was spot-on. The story was beautiful, and the art was great as always. If you want to see another side of Kawashita-sensei, don't miss this one!
