This is a very weird joint project by the Creator of JoJo"s Bizarre Adventures & a guy who makes nothing but bondage hentai. It's weird in that it's too normal for them. No more, fighting, or sex. It did remind me of Go Nagai's "Shin Devilman" one-shot, minus the Quantum Leap spoof. Well, I suppose I do see the appeal for Araki, given his eccentric characters like Dio, Kira, & Rohan. Despite the embellishments & changes, I found it very entertaining & think of this manga whenever any of these subjects are brought up.

1) Took me awhile to figure out that Okubo was trying to imitate Araki's art style in some misguided attempt to make the art of the entire book cohesive. This story is not a proven biography but based entirely on a sensationalist book by Al Stump. The handicapped heckler here is legless, but other sources say he was armless. Ty is not one of the people associated with inventing the spitball, plus it was a scuffball that he threw. The funny part is that the protagonist looks a lot more like Carl Mays, who also had a reputation as the most vicious vintage baseball player. Cobb also never threatened any pitchers on the field with his gun, though he claimed to have beaten a mugger with his gun like a blunt object. It's possible that the epilogue at the end of the story discusses the liberties taken with his history, but the scanlations team couldn't be assed to translate it.

There's 2 hilarious callbacks in the Cobb story to the Tesla chapter; 1) His mother was apparently having an affair with Nikola Tesla. 2) One of Edison's inventions burned his house down.

2) Okubo chapter. There was an man named Yoshio Kou & an upright walking chimpanzee named Oliver, but I can't find anything about these two beings ever having crossed each other's paths in real life, or about an attempt to get Oliver to crossbreed with an actress. But the part about the tiger & the karate champion was true.

3) This one is all Araki. I guess the only real embellishment was that the real Typhoid Mary was a tall, thin, attractive woman & not a squat frog. It's up in the air whether Mary Mallon was an arrogant & malicious woman who knowingly & willfully spread disease & took off at the first sign of contagion, or if she was just a willfully stupid unsanitary woman who never washed her hands & believed that if she herself wasn't sick that she couldn't possibly be a carrier & that the world was conspiring against her. Likewise, Dr. Sper was not a clean-shaven biseinen but a gangly balding man with a walrus mustache.

4) The woman in this story looks like Narancia from Jojo 5. Some people joke that Narancia is a Trap Character, but I'm on the side of those who believe that Araki makes women look too masculine. The old woman is on par with the Obaba from Spirited Away in levels of creepy. Sarah Winchester encounters a haunted garbage bag, which is weird because the garbage bag wasn't invented until 28 years after her death. The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California still exists to this day & you can tour inside it.

5) This one in one of the least embellished, & has a bit of a Home Alone feel to it. Though the brothers died in 1947, the burglars find a dollar bill in their house with the 1963 redesign. The mansion had so much shit that it took them 2.5 weeks of hauling garbage away to find the younger brother's corpse, & the older brother died the day before the police forced their way in. But if the brother who set the traps died a month before his brother, how on earth did the dollar bill rat survive if it couldn't freely forage for food?

6) Reminds me of the glory days of Cracked web magazine in the early 2000s, when they would often post articles praising Tesla & bringing to light Edison's assholery & theft. I think those article writers, as well as the comic artist for The Oatmeal would love this first story. & on page 39, apparently Tesla thought up Star Trek long before Gene Roddenberry. His biography in this story reads just like the Wikipedia article. I looked at a few of Onikubo's non-hentai works & this one seems to have been drawn by him & is the only one by him in this art style.
