such an overused storyline

I'm pretty sure that the group doing this manga messed up or something because it seems to be having flashbacks that never happened. If this is how the mangaka made it then I'll probably get even more confused later on. But the story line isn't interesting enough for me to continue reading this if it is going to do this. Currently, I give it a 7. But that's for now.

edit: i was wrong for giving the manga such a low score but it will only rise to an 8.5 at highest in my opinion. this is your stereotypical harem with three girls going to have a crush on him with a new girl coming in in the middle then him choosing lucia. such an overused storyline. if it diverges from that road or somehow throw in a twist... it has a chance.

Kimi no Iru Machi + To Love Ru = This

This is what you get if Seo Kouji wrote To Love Ru.

Rie is the exact same archetype as Kanzaki and Sairenji. Basically the kind meek and shy girl that the main character has a crush on but doesn't confess.

Lucia however is more of a tsundere than Yuzuki or Lala, who happen to be those hyper genki girls that make the main character's boring ass life, more meaningful.

Regardless, new girl always wins. School crush never does. In fact, given the title of this manga, it's pretty obvious. Nevertheless, it is an entertaining read. Recommended.

*My rating scale is out of 5.

Don't judge a manga by its first chapter (especially so harshly), that's like judging a book by its cover. And definitely don't go into reading a series having so many expectations, it will usually only lead to disappointment. An open mind will lead to better enjoyment.

With that out of the way, you can tell I don't agree with anything in the first comment. The manga is pretty interesting, the characters are unique (enough) and the scenario/premise is mostly new. We'll have to see what the mangaka will do with the fantasy theme.

I look forward to reading the upcoming chapters.

*This is not a review, just a preliminary (counter) opinion. And the rating below does not reflect what I think of the manga, it is only used for organization purposes.

A fun read, IMO.

I think this is a fun series. Just to make note, it may be confusing at the beginning because there is a zero chapter that may serve as the introductory chapter, or the pilot of the series. It started as a oneshot (chapter 0) first, and is now serialized in the magazine.

Cliche but fun

Whats there to say? Angel girls "battle" Demon girls for teenage human male, cue harem hijinks.

Its far from original but the art and writing are top notch, as expected of an artist/author with several mangas serialized and completed series under his belt. If all you want is something simple and fun to read, you can't go wrong here.

Ecchi and Fun
Rating: 8.0 / 10.0

A cute fun ecchi series. I only wish that the magaka wouldn't just take the "easy" rout in getting the girls clothing off (ie done to up the the number of drawings of half naked girls; as opposed to uping the mood), it really reduces the ecchi-nes of the scenes. The characters are enjoyable enough and I like the humor does well when it plays off the angel/demon's quirks.

Recommended if you're looking for something lighthearted with partial nudity.

New chapters every other month. So chapter 18 won't come out until 2012. <sigh>

... but it's very well done: art is top-notch and here the author shows to know well when it's time to be deep and when it's time to just do something fun.

But there's a flaw: after 2 volumes this gives me the feeling that Seo is already running out of ideas, recycling stuff done years ago in other mangas like To Love Ru.

However, in school-ecchi-harem-comedies like this one you usually add some new characters to bring in new situations, and here there aren't a lot. So, there's still room from improvement.

its a bit lighter and funny, compared to his previous works.
(I kinda liked the ribbons on Lucia's horn XD)

I hope the story would still develop well over, despite being totally comical. Which many other author failed to do.

Well, after reading all the reviews all the other people thought of this manga i am reaffirmed as to what to say about it. I was going to give this an 8 now I have a whole different view.
This manga isn't a stand alone manga, although the other idiots reviewing this don't know this. This manga isn't a manga made to be a story, it's for fans of Seo Kouji's past work... I'll Explain

What he wanted from this, is to give back and give A: Another of his manga's to be preoccupied with. B: More of his wonderful artwork Ba: Fanservice; C: Give people a different love story to look forward to. He has written similar stories in the same Genre, i'm sure he's testing the waters of a different Genre.

Finally to the manga... When is started reading, i thought, this is ridiculous, then as if i understood the Mangaka's intentions, i started laughing. The whole Demon thing, the whole Angel thing... Was funny, I'm not stupid enough that the Mastermind of Suzuka, had lost his OWN mind. I've accepted that Seo likes to delve into his past models, but i think thats what makes him great.
Suzuka, Yuzuki, Lucia
Honoka, Nanami, Rie
They are similar, But so what, They are allot like the same actor playing different roles. Because I think that they do have changes.
Rie is not the nervous type, just nice, unlike Honoka
Lucia is allot like Suzuka but looks like Yuzuki.
I Think this is a fun Manga, it's a little Ridiculous, but if you haven't read any of his work's, First of all SHAME ON YOU!!! Second you should, and Third You will enjoy it if you are just familiar with his work. Although you should probably read Suzuka first.
Also i strongly believe that Seo San's favorite work is Suzuka, He always adds his little Suzuka eccentricity's to his manga.
One last thing before my Score... Levia looks like Yui... There i said it, i give this a Perfect 10!!!

i would have to say that this is an okay manga but i agree about what asudake said, Seo is doing this probly for his fans only, a new type of thing for him.
