Description
The story is of Kitano Seiichirou, a very kind and pure-hearted young man, with a horrifying, monstrous face. People being what they are, they think he's a terrifying delinquent, and there are plenty of chance misunderstandings (coupled with Kitano's convenient inability to understand what's happening around him) that propel him into the position of "school guardian", a.k.a. head thug on campus.

Brilliant is a total understatement. this manga is hilarious and totally addictive. when you start you will not stop until you've finished. what made it great was the other genres supporting the main which is comedy and also the how clueless the main character was from beginning to the end and the supporting characters are very much likable and lovable. This is the closest thing to COMEDY MANGA PERFECTION. I strongly recommend it!

I loved it!
I think the art is fine with the story, it'd be weird a story like that with a gorgeous art. Really, you should read it if you can, it's one of the best mangas I've ever read!

The happy adventures of a boy who looks like Marilyn Manson but is as innocent and pure as a three-year-old. Since he looks so scary, gangsters keep thinking that he's staring them down and back off since they suspect he's a heroin addict. The guys who do fight him end up losing, as he has excellently timed "Look! A 500 yen coin!" dodges and when he gets agitated, his speech just turns into unintelligible screaming.

This is absolutely hilarious. Kitano has absolutely no idea what's going on most of the time, and the other characters' feelings of fear and admiration for his "fighting skills" never cease to amuse me.

The fact that i registered solely to comment on this manga proves that it makes an impact.
Yesterday i finished reading Angel Densetsu and i felt completely satisfied, it's a shame i can only give this a 10, it deserves much more.
With shame i say that i only got to it the second time around because i backed away at first because of the art in the first volume.
Angel Densetsu is the one manga that actually made me laugh out loud, no other accomplished that so far. The situations it presents are ridiculous, funny and heartwarming. The characters are funny and lovable. The lesson it teaches is a most valuable one and one that we should never forget. Yes, despite this being a comedy it has educational value.
While in my first attempt i found the art style to be horrible, it actually gets much, much better and i find it to be fitting for the art to be different on a manga wich is based around appearences.
While in middle volumes things start to lose it's hilarious edge, it gains in heartwarming moments while still maintaining the funny aspect, and the ending...oh the ending was just perfect. Usually i'm not very fond of endings because they take away something i've experienced throughout the stories, but this one was delivered beautifully.
Kitano, satan's right hand man, the indestructible murdering rage in human skin, is truly one great guy bigrazz
Sorry i just had to say it ahaha.

Truly a great manga, i recomend it to anyone.

I started reading this manga a few days ago, and I was just hooked! It's pretty funny, made me laugh out loud quite a few times. The plot itself was alright, but just the lightheartedness of the whole manga kept it going for me. Of course, the art was a bit (if not a whole lot) odd at the start, but it improved greatly by the end of the series, and I could recognize the art as the same that was used in Claymore. I liked how Kitano at first had no friends, but gradually, throughout the story, he made more and more and even other people began to accept him as a normal person. Perhaps one of my favorite parts was at the end, where his whole group got together in the final scenes.

In conclusion, great manga! None less expected by the author of Claymore.

Like the story, you really can't judge something or someone by the appearance. I was hesitant to read this at first because it looks so serious with the drawings and the angels and I thought it was like a dark manga. Surprisingly, it was a light-hearted comedy with some fighting scenes that will satisfy anyone.

I now love this manga and recommend it to everyone.

I absolutly adored this story, I mean, I'm a girl and don't usually read shounen, but I couldn't help falling for the characters. All the diferent situations and the characters reactions to them keep you laughing through all the 15 volumes. I also really enjoyed each time Kitano managed to get through to people, past his scary/thug image. It made me think about how I see people around me and how to make a better person of myself by not just taking the first impression of them, just of his/her exterior.

I know people often critize the art, but it gets a lot better later. I was in about volume 7 when I went to the first chapter to check the drawings and was shocked to see the diference. It's not a master piece, but it goes from utterly disgracefull to normal. I do have to say that i loved the way the girls where drawn later.

I strongly recommend this manga, it's really funny and it actually leaves you with something to think about.

There's a lot of complaints about the art here but once you get used to it you can see it's not bad at all. I've reread this a few times and every time it makes me chuckle, it's very funny and imaginative and you grow to love all the characters.

So please don't judge it by its art, read a few volumes and you'll get to see what I mean! I promise you won't regret it.

I read a few chapters and dropped this series, I just couldnt get passed the art... its just so bad...so so bad...usually i can grow to like different types of art or just get passed it for the story but I just couldnt get past its awfulness... i cant honestly rate this because i never read enough of it...

sadly i dont think ill ever pick this one back up, everyone says its a good story but i wasnt captured enough in what i read to overcome the putrid art...

One of the most hilarious manga i've probably read ever. Funny character but some characters might get annoying at times. The art is really bad at first but its starts to get better later on since this is one of the authors first manga series. This manga is one of those gems series that the comedy and plot never gets old even though it more then a decade old already. A must read.
