Sentimental - The Good Kind

This series definitely has to be one of the better pieces to be released lately. So cute and atmospheric. I have just one wish, and that is that the stories had more complete endings. Conversely, I have to admit, it lends to the atmosphere of the manga to leave them open at the end and it is nice to be able to use your imagination.

This series is really rather girly. The art is very pretty and the characters are quite cute and emotional. If you're not into that kind of stuff, you won't really get much out of reading this one. And I will let you in on one thing; reading the second story, I blubbered like a baby. It definitely has to be my favourite story of them all.

well, i don't usually like girly uke and cute stories, but somehow ogura has wormed herself into my heart with her first work, and has established a firm foothold with this one. they're short stories, but have interesting characters, great atmosphere, and even the teacher-student thing isn't stereotypical (though it gets awfully close). the other stories are more original. my favourite is the least lovey-dovey one with the guys who wait on the bench for each other.

I can't help it that I like this kind of poetry and atmosphere. There isn't any special action in these stories but they make me feel that every page is full of meaning, that every page has its own content - between lines you can feel nostalgic atmosphere fulfilled with emotions telling you more than words and so on and so on.. And above all, the stories are simply heart-warming and leaves you a smile on your face.

Well, from the bottom of my romantic heart (he, he..) - stop for a while here and read this manga.

P.S. And I forgot to add - Ogura-sensei's art is gorgeous, simply makes you melting..

this is a really nice, cute, and clean manga.... love the art and the characters!!! ^^
<33 story 1, story 3 and story 4, they're both so cute. i love how in the first story they're afraid of the dark and of light!!
story 2 makes me fell that their relationship was really mature and REALLY CUTE TOO!!!
i also love how in story 4 Nishina made mistakes of almst hitting a student and by thinking that Aoi was selling himself --> hahahha!! ** I feel that there should had been more lovey-dovey in this manga though.... still, i enjoyed it!!!!

I've just recently come across with Ogura-sensei's works (her first manga was published in 2008 so she can be considered new) but I already love her stories! The art is gorgeous and expressive and the stories are always nice and romantic, not in the fluffy way. And I have to say this book is definitely the one I enjoyed the most. It containes two longer and two short oneshots and they're all memorable. Ogura deals with characters who have fears, likes, and depth. The stories are touching and you can actually feel the fluttering in your stomach when they finally become happy together. Maybe La-La, Bye Bye.
was the weakest out of the stories but it's not bad either.

I'll definitely keep my eye on the mangaka. Recommended. smile

That's the best way to describe the entire feel of this manga. Gentle, flowing, and soft. Like lying underneath a tree on a spring day and just listening to the breeze and the birds, and watching the clouds... haha, this manga leaves you with a bit of a poetic streak, I guess. It has a strange, almost melancholic nostalgic feeling, which is actually really pleasant, not to mention the art is lovely and expressive. Nothing extraordinary happens or anything, but it has a nice calming feel to it that I really enjoyed.

My favorite was the first story. Sure, the uke looked and acted a bit girly, but that didn´t annoy me. Maybe because the story had such a nice flow to it, that kinda flow I´m weak against.
Although it was a cute story, I wish it would´ve been more chapters about the main couple. It had potential.

I´m definitly hoping we will get to see more works from Ogura-sensei.
