Wonderful

Seems like I can't get enough of it. Today was the 3rd time I read this one, the second time being not so long ago. It's just amazing. Indeed, the plot might not be unique or something but the way the story is told and how it is drawn lets me breathless. I can barely keep it to myself, I feel like shouting how much I like this manga!

cliche isnt always a bad thing. not with Yoneda Kou.

Honestly, the story is pretty cliche. But somehow, YONEDA Kou managed to take such a overused and abused formula of yaoi and turn it into something absolutely spectacular. There were so many moments in the manga where it all seems to be done before, but the characters are so indepth and so likable that I didnt mind at all. It makes you laugh but also cry at the same time. Their dialogue are always so witty and moving even when it is translated. This is one of the only yaoi mangas that I would never tire myself of reading and I would usually read it again when nothing else is updated.

I had no idea that this was from the same mangaka who wrote Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. I'm aghast, because I know I have totally found the greatest yaoi mangaka ever. Although this manga wasn't super totally great, it kicked off pretty well and I actually appreciate the side story since the main one seems to be in a ditch at the moment. I love Deguchi and the drama is completely real. And although Shima was likeable at first, he's going down the path of the crying, lacking in confidence typical uke...

Unlike Yashiro and Kage and D (in Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai), the characters in this story kind of "fall in love" without a reason. Especially at the begin, it felt a little rushed and without any...reason! But I forgave that, because it was obvious that Togawa and Shima are meant to be. But Onoda beginning to like Shima was strange, and happened...because of what? He looked cute? Idk, it just lacked the resolve Yashiro/Kage/D (I can't remember the name) had, but I'm glad the mangaka got better in this and made progress. The drawings are nice though. 7/10

OH, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SHIMA'S EX-BF <3 I just love the whole concept of him still loving Shima and all. It's cute as hell, I want to see sooo bad.

One of my all time favorites

When I read manga most of the time if their really good I'l revisit them once or twice, but this manga has me coming back so much I've lost track of how many times I've read it. To me Yoneda sensei always has this slow but keep you on your toes plot and character development, and I love it. It's not rushed and not slow either, it make me feel like I'm there with the characters because the emotions are well displayed. One thing is for sure I love every character in this manga so much I can't even pick a favorite. Basically this is a masterpiece in my opinion as well as her other works! (^.^)

This manga got me crying river over how beautiful their love is. I'm deeply touched. This is definitely one of the best yaoi I've read so far and one of the very few that managed to make me cry.
Absolutely recommended, whether you're a yaoi fan or not.

This is heartbreaking. Why do I do this to myself? No, Doushitemo Furetakunai is not a tragedy. It's love, and that is why it hurts so much. It is so beautiful, so sincere, so unlike anything else. I don't see why would anyone find this anything other than magnificent. It is so conventional you could've been reading a book on real life, and yet it breaks every convention you can possibly know of, striping out of any cliché, giving you nothing but itself in the most beautiful, simple form: again, love.

I came across this series and my eyes twitched a little. I have never heard of the artist, I read no review, no line from the summary, the art didn't seem anything in particular, and the title sounded cliché enough. I was so wrong, and I am so grateful I didn't give up before I even started, which is something that happens more than I would like to, really.

With this manga I laughed, I cried, I lost my breath, I nearly lost my consciousness, and the worst thing of all, I remembered what I thought was buried deep within me. It was a turmoil of emotions, from beginning to end. I seldom give a straight 10/10 to a one-volume thing, but Doushitemo Furetakunai deserves so much more than that. When it was over, I just felt so happy it was ridiculous.

I guess I can't ever go back to the cheesy, clichéd, uke-based wussiness of mainstream m/m manga. After this wonderful piece of art, I am done with it. I can't thank Yoneda Kou enough, and I can't wait to read more of this artist's work.

Every once in a while I read this manga again. It seriously gets to me every time. My stomach gets all tingly and stuff, and I start feeling like nothing can ever stop feelings of love. Gosh, this sounds cheesy. Whatever, if you read it you'll get what I mean.

This is seriously the best romance manga I've read. It is so simple and subtle. It doesn't need tons of phony drama. It just is. The art and the facial expressions are, as usual with YONEDA Kou, superior in every way. This really is the best. Anyone who hasn't read it yet better get to it soon.

So cute!!!! This is a great manga, not just a good yaoi manga, but a good manga in general. It will make you laugh, cry and love the characters. The plot was pretty generic, but it was executed really well, the characters were all developed and original and the the romance is adorable. This is a must read manga

as mentioned, i love how this mangaka can draw character expressions so well. it really conveys a lot of emotion from the characters despite the dialogue sometimes being a bit confusing. i have a penchant for angst, so of course i ate this story up.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
mangaka mentioned in the afterward that a lot of readers wanted a man like togawa to marry. THIS IS SO TRUE ;_; i felt the same way lol. i even cried when shima did, relating to his regret that a relationship with togawa would mean that he would never father children. BECAUSE IT'S SO TRUE. togawa would make an amazing father. god, im such an old woman, lol. *sobs forever*

can't believe i kept putting off reading this for so long. the humor in this story is one of a kind, it's what you'd expect from an indie movie. the characters felt real, it had a fresh take on the whole romance genre i'm used to in most of the manga. my favourite thing definitely has to be the pacing. usually things get dragged out or they're too rushed, but this one took it's time to go where it needed going and it nailed it. needless to say i'm impressed.
