Ahh, it finally ended. It was funny how my sis predicted the ending, then again it's not all that surprising. I found that the story of Kurou and Hiyo's parents more interesting, I wanted more of it. And to be honest, I don't think I would've read this if not for the adorable art. It wasn't anything special, never found myself waiting or wanting an update. T'was a fun read, I really enjoyed the art. - The story, not so much. I'd say it was a good read, though.

I think I heard my hopes crash... It was cute and intersting at the beginning, but it got extremely annoying as soon as I read ch. with "the white crows tale". I considered dropping this manga, but I didn't, only beacause I liked HiyoxKurou pair. It ended the way I thought and hated to see it end - no surpise there, but I finaly saw what's been missing in main pairs relationship through out the whole manga(yep, an extra about HxK "happy" valentines day smile mmm, cute).
Typical girl in love surrounded by bunch of bishies kinda of manga plus love saved the world plot twist and you get "Love monster".
7 for effort and extra chapter.

I think some people do not realize this manga is shoujo genre; therefore don't understand that a lot of cliches and the heroine not being too bright, are part of the package. I particularly liked it despite it, but you have to read it in one go to really think that way, otherwise you will lose interest and think of it as just your average shoujo with supernatural.

It's OK for a first read. The first chapter was interesting, but it went downhill from there. I don't know if this is possible but I realized that some chapters were sort of like "fillers". I'm disappointed to see the manga end like this as it showed a lot of potential at the start of the story. The art is OK.

This manga is tacky and fan-service-y towards epic proportions. I thought it to be rather gross and perverted. This whole manga is one huge excuse. The excuse is to draw men in wings and wolfish looking guys that seem to all magically fall in love with a stupid main character and use this premise to draw perverted scenes. I can't believe this was labeled as comedy even - this isn't humor, it's just plain stupid.

... the manga "black bird" by Kanoko Sakurakoji borrows (O.K., pretty much steals) the idea of a world filled with monsters, the crow clan, and of course, the ever needed heroine with a hidden power, but it's better executed. From story telling to art, it is a lot more enjoyable and congruent than "love monster", and it also has a better chance to get licensed in the US since one of her previous works, 'backstage prince" has already been published and is well liked.

liked it...at first

I liked it at first. I thought it was a pretty good manga since it made me laugh and the characters were interesting, but I think the author kinda ran out of ideas a little ways towards the end. It would have been promising, but there were too many (unnecessary?) characters and plotlines inserted and I think it was just too mind numbing overall.

I probably would read this again only once more after the scanlations finish, but after that, probably wouldn't give it a second glance.

Love Monster, in one word is just "cute". It's a verrrrry very shoujo-istic fantasy reverse-harem manga. Plotwise, I can't say much. But I read it for the humour. If you want a comedy then Love Monster is the right choice. However, in terms of an actual decent story, I'd say a *certain* manga by Kanoko Sakurakouji is better.

I felt that the story is kind of rushed and the characters are too predictable and unrealistic. The art is not amazing in my opinion and the feelings that should come natural while reading a story feel somewhat forced........
