I have to admit that this was not the most original yaoi manga that I've ever read, and it was predictable at times. However, I really appreciated the fact that the manga-ka took her time with creating a story - nothing felt too rushed and it gave me time to get into the story and feel empathy towards the characters.
This was an extremely endearing read - the plot was quiet simple and sweet without being too diabetic. I liked how the simplicity of the stories drew out a sense of direction and the conflicts within and between characters were not overly dramatic or angsty. (Sure. it was quite moe at certain parts, but I saw no extreme cliches.)
Overall a very good manga, I thoroughly enjoy this manga-ka's stories smile

Such a delectable good to have, for those who liked sweets. biggrin

the thing I like about Hatoko Machiya is that she could express a sweet, loving couples without angst, doesn't get really overboard, and still managed to look hot at the same time. Seriously, HOT. and considerably erotic. You don't have much of the "loving, caring, gentle" yaoi smut in here..not really enough.

I have to admit its plain sweetness may be choking at times, tho, as for example, this. So far, people are reading it chapter by chapter, courtesy of the great ladies of DP; but now it's finished, and...reading the entire tankoubon one till the end could be a recipe for diabetes. I personally likes sweet things, tho so there you are. biggrin

the only (-) part is that sweetness which, albeit not as much as Naono Bohra, may still be hard to swallow for some people.

And the only warning, massive sweetness ahead.

VERY SWEAT <3

Personally, i thought that this was a sweat sweat collection to read, but perhaps its do to the overly pronounced "forceful relationship type" that is so popular in yaoi manga, that this was a nice breath of fresh air for me. to the refreshing note, the ukes response and the splashes of humor really brought it home for me. I also really like the manga-kas attention to body language.

this may just be my sleep deprivation, but i think that i really fell in love with Machiya Hatoko storytelling style. its very comforting and shoujo-esc. very much like comfort food yaoi haha.

the art was nice though sometimes i found it a bit plain, besides, sometimes their faces weren't enough expressive.
the plot was sweet, but there again nothing extraordinary, nothing to make your heart throb and twist. to be honest i can only recall three stories out of the 6 chapters. the first about the students, the second about the salarymen (really i never knew that making ones coming out and accepting ones newly awaken homosexuality was that easy), and the last chapter with the owner of the bakery. i recall the last one because, precisely, it was the last chapter that i read.
No really, this is not worth reading, I don’t want to be too harsh, but I think that they are many other yaoi manga and that you wouldn’t miss something big if you didn’t read this one.
