i know that this manga seems to slow that it already reaches more than 200 chapters, saying that its kyoko is at fault.. bear in mind that kyouko is inexperience in love and unassuming that it wouldn't cross her mind that ren has feelngs for her just because he's nice, and also ren is known for being a kind gentleman in that industry..
as of the others saying that why wont she just tell him that she loves him then let me ask you, would you be able to tell the one you love that you love him when you heard coming from his mouth that he cant fall inlove with someone now.. even i wouldn't be able to coz i know wat awaits me if i tell him..

and love isnt all there is, realizing her dream and working her way up is a good thing...

this i 1 of the best manga i've ever read, i dont care bout the opinion of others...

First of all, I have to say that I love how it started off and it seemed very promising: a young girl realizing she had been used by someone she loved and decides to become more famous than him to get her revenge.
However, a lot of times I feel like it goes off-plot and the only times we focus on the heroine is during her encounters with Ren, which in itself is not a bad thing, except I would imagine there is more to becoming an actress than that.
I hope we're gonna get back on track soon and focus more on her trying to be an actress.

i started out reading this from a site with summary i was wishing to watch a tv version or comic and finally found the site that had chapters this was my first manga i ever read and got hooked on

at that time i think it was round 70-ish chapter it has been annoying please dont be upset with the scanlator group its the author thats only releasing 1-2 chapters a month from what i remember
so its more like push the author for more chapter each month lol i wish i could go to the author and beg to keep working on the series BUT just please at least release 1 chapter each week!!! im dying here for a chapter or 2 a month!

i only find 1 thing disappointing the lack of romance finally when i thought Kyouko realized

other then that its still good i think besides this manga i only care about Hwang Mi Ri's manhwas even though lately her work has been so-so not as good as it used to be but i love the tough girl gang stuff most just hate the cry baby crap and pig type girls who are leaders

I've been reading this manga since so long ago, I don't even remember when. Certainly not 2003, but possibly 2007. Truth to be told, it's been so long, I've forgotten most of the earlier volumes. There have been times when I got as exasperated as P.O.C.K.Y. (especially when , which made me want to send hate spirits of my own to the author >_>), but I've always loved the series. And ever since I started seeing signs of it finally beginning to wrap up , I cannot wait for the next chapter. Then again, that has always been the case.
In a way, this is the manga that first made me aware of the perils of reading a manga that hasn't been completed yet. I would be devastated if the author suddenly died or similar.

I agree with flowinmyboat completely.This manga was brilliant when it first started and while it's not terrible yet, it really lacks to engage me like it once did. When you follow a manga for this long, it's going to lose some of its charm, especially when you start to get into other mangas while you wait for the scanlators to put out new chapter.

There's a reason this manga is so popular, it's an ace read and if you're just starting out you'll probably still be in love even after 200 chapters. But if you're like the group of people that have been following this since it's first release in 2003, then the hype has worn off and you're wondering why the bloody deuce you're still reading this.

This manga has entered the world of unnecessary continuity. It's a good read, but not good enough to still be trying to introduce new plots and characters. It's time for it to wrap up while it's still liked before it turns into a mess like other never-ending mangas that lose their fanbase.

I remember reading this manga when I was in middle school and loving it (in like ~'06-'07). I cannot believe how unbelievingly boring this series has gotten though. Two-hundred chapters is more than enough to have achieved revenge, fulfilled Kyoko's dreams and developed a solid romance. Instead, more plots and characters keep being introduced. There are still parts that pull you in but for the most part the pacing is ridiculously slow and it shows no signs of ending.

Despite that, I would recommend reading this series. It's great at the beginning and there still seems to be people who enjoy it until now, so I would say read and see how long it takes before you get sick of it (or not).

This is, so far, the best manga I've ever read. Yes, this is a shoujo, but not a silly one in the least. It has romance, but it's not focused on telling how she falls in love, but in how she, who has been deeply hurt by her first love, tries to run away from it and how she deals with the fear of trusting someone again. It is sad, dramatic, funny and deep.
The way the characters react is amazing, the expressions on their faces are extremely fun. The art is great.
So... overcome her fears or run away from love forever, what will it be?
Can't wait for more!

I like the way how it is now. The pacing may be slow (but I think for this kind, it's the best), but all of it is not unnecessary. Each events contribute to the character development of the main characters. This manga isn't mainly about romance, it's more on Kyouko's struggles into becoming a top actress, and also her revenge for Shoutaro. LOL. In short, the focus is not just shallow 'hey-i-like-you-lets-date', but also a lot of things. This shoujo manga is closer to reality.

I recommend this to those who appreciates reading deep stories. If you just want plenty of romance, sorry, this manga won't cater to your likes. I suggest you read L-DK instead. LOL.

The female protagonist can be awfully comical when her overactive imagination and/or emotions run riot. Quite entertaining so far although it was quite painful to watch the romance move at the rate of 1mm/volume.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about the lack of progress in the romance of the series but that's not really the focus. The series focuses on Kyouko's acting career. The romance is going a bit slower because it's not the focus of the plot.
