This manga could have had LOTS of potential however they cut it short :/
I don't recommend it if you are looking for a romance manga, however if you are looking for a cute read with a cliffhanger then go for it.

SPOILER COMING UP
No one ends up with no one, it fast fowards to half a year into the future and no one has gotten together it only shows that Sekiya now likes Kasai but they don't tell each other, and then yuuiki likes that other chick but she doesn't like him or at least she doesn't say she likes him.
Ughh I wasted my time reading this.... I wanted to see them together :/

I only finish reading chapter 2, but it's so super enjoyable that I have to comment it here to tell ya, I Love The Story Flow!!! Oh my gosh, it's 3rd person point of view style! Oh my gosh, you get to know what everyone is thinking! Oh my gosh, this is freaking AWEEEEESOOOOMEEE!!!! Hoever, the art is a bit on the down side, but sometimes it's like, who cares~ when i love the style of how the story is written!
And Yuuki-kun makes me laugh all the time! So many LOL moments haha!

I like this author's other series called Last Game which has the same type of plot device (misunderstanding). However, this series is done terribly. There's only so much bullshit misunderstanding you can take before your back breaks. Ex: Girl stares and smiles at the guy. Guy thinks "does she hate me?" Come on fck on. Really. How does one even reach such an absurd conclusion.

This is the author's earlier work before the series Last Game. Perhaps she/he is still inexperienced writing it but it's terribly bad. Read the author's later work; it's written much better.

No one in the world is this shy and clueless... You start to feel like your reading about elementery school kids. It drags on and goes nowhere. Not even worth the read if your looking for romance. There is none here.

The beginning of this story made me think that this was a really typical shojo but it turned out to be pretty good in terms of the story and the character development for all the main characters. Glad I stuck with this until the end.

I always have this stupid habit when i want to choose a manga to read..
1st choose by the genre and rating
2nd read the description
3rd look at other people comment...
...by this 3 step method mostly i will follow 2nd n 3rd...but this time i choose the 3rd step n read the one shot only.....huhuhuhu.....is tragedy i say....tragedy...why?.. The story was so amazing n at the end it make me cry....huhuhu....it really touching love story...my heart still deeply hurt..
I recommend this one shot to anyone who like tragedy...good day

The manga was alright; not great but not bad either so its good for a light read. HOWEVER the one shot/special chapter that was with it was definatly 10/10, it was incredibly beautiful and moving (even if it wasnt really what i thought it would be)

The extra story, Secret Garden, is one of the most beautiful things I've ever, ever read. Even if you don't read the main story, GO READ THE ONESHOT. That's why this is getting a 10/10 rating by the way.

Overall I guess you could say this is the kind of manga that you read when you want to fill up your time. I found the love triangles cute, frustrating and overwhelmingly annoying at the same time which is not a first for me. The story was alright but I guess it wasn't the type of story for me. The ending was a bit disappointing and yet satisfying. It really is hard to describe this manga without contradicting myself. But I wanted to comment on the most was the extra 'The Secret Garden'. That was one of the best extras I have ever read!!! it was so bitter and sweet and cute and adorable =D Everyone must read the extra even if you hate the main story. Although it may not be liked by everyone I found it perfect.

It wasn't the main story that I felt strongly about--it was the extra: Secret Garden that made me rate Katakoi Triangle higher than I would have. The main story was okay, I actually don't remember the specifics of it anymore. But the extra, ohgosh. It made my heart hurt so bad. Sooo bittersweet, sad, undeniably realistic. I felt crushed when I read the ending pages of it.

I think I received a serious blow. My heart fell with those words. Why?? /cries.

If your heart hurt after Secret Garden and you would like to inflict another serious blow, give Inoribana's Souai Metaphysica a go. It's a oneshot with a similar story. OHGOD. Am I a masochist? The pain of both stories combined...
