Description
Izumo Kunisaki, a descendant of Izumo no Okuni, is often mistaken for a girl. It is the bane of his existence. His father and best-friend often laugh about it. To top it off, he plays the girl roles in his family's Kabuki troupe. In this short, he discovers that that curse is also his greatest source of strength and will prove just how much of a man he is.

Read this oneshot out of curiousity, and I'll admit, this one is quite unique, especially the plot.

The characters are pretty dynamic, it has some good humors and the actions in it were simply good.

A shame that it's just a oneshot, but then again, most series do tend to start off like that, and I hope that sometimes in the future, this could be a full-fledge series on its own in Shonen Sunday.

UPDATE:
Looks like I was right about it becoming a series after all.

Just read the first chapter from this series; it started off differently than before, but other than that, this is turning alright so far. The main character seems to retain some of his personality from the one-shot, but some new ones present in this series, but I'm fine with that.

Hopefully, this last a long while during its stay at Shonen Sunday.

I read the oneshot, and it was great. It had a wonderful mix of action and comedy! I'm very glad that it has become a series now.. There is a major difference between the series and the oneshot, but I personally think that the series is still great. It has a lot of potential, so hopefully it is able to stay in Shounen Sunday for a while. (Oh, did I mention that it is hilarious?)

This was a very interesting oneshot. I really liked it because it had a VERY well-balanced mix of action, drama and comedy. For how short this was the mangaka did a great job of creating characters without trying to overload you with details or cause you to feel like the characters are empty and fake. This was a very enjoyable oneshot and I'm hoping that the mangaka decides to turn this into a full on series, because I'd DEFINITELY read it. 10/10.

I like this manga. It's entertaining enough that I keep reading, and that's enough for me.

I'm wondering about the romance though. There's no romance in it at all so far, and although it's a kinda slashy manga, it's not shounen-ai either, so I don't get why it's labeled as a romance. Seeing as how it's still on-going it could turn into one...but I really hope it doesn't.

I love how the manga blends comedy and serious plot points so well. This manga is so refreshing compare to most of the Shounen manga out there. I'm thankful to the mangaka that instead of a battle manga as shown in the oneshot, she turns the manga into a enjoyable story. This manga hasn't fail to give me a smile and I hope it would give you the same joy it gave me.

Due to recent developments...

It is actually quite possible that it has that shounen-ai plot is actually pinned up! after a certain incident and it's quite a big revelation to Izumo. However, they may stay as just great friends...because xD people may rebel to the strong BLness...regardless the series is funny and Izumo is just being Izumo.

And when Kunisaki's co-worker asks whether if he had someone he likes...it is confirmed that XXX is a person he likes...LOL

This manga does run in a magazine that aims towards the female audience. So a lot of people may not like this, but it's still decent.
For me, I love it, kabuki gives Izumo a justified reason to cross dress and he's quite likable.

The story and concept of this manga is funny and cute. The protagonist is always a victim of gender confusion mishaps. The manga has its serious points too, but you will remember this series for its unique story and characters (I really like the cold blooded, black haired sensei).

seriously... one of the best manga's i ever readed...
It 'has' some boys love, but it still is a shounen...
I really HATE shounen-ai... but in this manga, the protagonist hate as much as i am...
So that is what make's this manga so funny. When he makes all that cute face's and see someone drooling for him, hahahahha i laugh only remembering... ahahhahahaha

AWESOME, an big hurray for this mangaka... i hope best wishes for you.
And for the ppl translating this too =]

I don't think it should be labeled as Harem & Romance, it doesn't contain anything like that at all... And it's slowly turning into Shounen Ai of some sort, but i hope it won't, considering how good the plot is along with the good personality of the protagonist.

all in all, i really liked the manga but i really hope it wont turn into shounen ai and make proof that it really is harem and romance smile

Rather fun but it quickly becomes too shounen ai. Being forced into any cross-gender role just makes me loose any real interest in the story. I also tend to find that it makes me dislike it after the fact.
