I have to say "Don't compare it with Nodame Cantabile if you want to enjoy it!"
Why? Tensai Family Company have older artwork than Nodame, it dissapoint me at first time read it. The main character, Katsuyuki, also have very rude characteristic in my opinion, I didn't like him. But then I realize that he has developing characteristics, you must read vol 2 to understand it. I start to like him, still waiting for third volume and curious what will happened to him and ppl around him
I would recommend this manga for you who like josei manga with unique characters in it, it also have some love stories

The one thing that you have to remember is this manga is in the Slice-of -Life genre. You have to read it to find it's worth. I read it till the end of volume 2 now and I found it more and more entertaining and fascinating. If Nodame is the main character in Nodame Cantabile, then the main character in this manga is Katsuyuki. The story revolved around his weird family but the main plot is STILL about him, his problem and his upcoming plan about his future. I suggest that you don't read this manga chapter by chapter but read it per tankoubon, to fully gasp the feel. This is a very touching piece of manga.

This is a very lovely manga in its own right, but in it you can also see the seeds of what would germinate into Nodame Cantabile (character prototypes of Nodame and Chiaki, etc.). If you're a fan of Nodame, that might either be an additional point of interest, or cause for boredom.

Tensai Family Company has more of a true josei feel than Nodame, despite the characters being in high school. It is heavy on slice-of-life comedy and features flawed, eccentric characters. Because it is lighter on the romantic comedy elements that make Nodame more shoujo-like, it might not appeal to all Nodame fans, but for slice-of-life fans it is definitely worth a read.

Natsuki's atittude is sooo funny! I can understand how he feels when his stepfather and Haru do stupid things, maybe that's why i like him so much.
Of course Nodame is oh-so-great-and-funny, but i think we shouldn't compare these two mangas. I'll give it a 10.

FOR ALL THE NODAME'S FANS! do not read this manga just because you are a Nodame fan, its much better for the author that people who read their manga are actually enjoying her work, AND ACTUALLY, I AM! this one its more odd than naruto! how come a stupid super genius anoying brat can have his own manga? i mean such a character should be burn to dead! but there are so man people around and so many funy stuff that you will quite enjoy it, this is not nodame, and t might have some similitudes.I recomend it, if you like soft reading,
and about the grl i think shes a sweet girl. after all this manga isnt a shoujo! so dont come with all those premade ideas of how a girlshould behave.

SO JUST GIVE IT A TRY, and if you like it READ IT JUST BECAUSE YOU DO

I think people who say this is a Nodame Cantabile repeat should note that this came out before Nodame. I will admit the whole "genius surround by idiots" formula can get a bit tiring, but it's still rather entertaining. If anything I think where it falls is that it lacks some of the engergy that Nodame cantabile has. As much as I hate to make comparisons, this series relies on a lot of the same kinds of relationships that Nodame does, it just doesn't pull them off as well and none of the characters really stand out like Nodame does.

Personally, the one that actually annoyed me was Katsuyuki himself. It's a rare chance that the main character had such bad attitude so it's interesting in its own way. I'd kind of like to see how things would turned out.

Personally, I only read this dues to a same author of Nodame Cantabile and it's a disappointment. You'll find an annoying girl named Kyoko; she's a classmate of Katsuyuki's or art student. Everytime I read her parts, she just pisses me off which put me off the mood to not read it any further. I would recommend you not to read it at all but it might be good at the beginning at first because it's hilarious. However, if you can handle with repeatives and Kyoko then go ahead read it. =) I still rate it as 1/10 because this manga is a worstest work ever so keep reading Nodame Cantabile! ^^
