I liked it but it does have some faults

I actually really liked these characters, and I liked the character designs and art style. I don't think it's as over the top cliche as everyone else is saying -- I've read stories that are a lot more cliche than this. I mean, really, a lot of the really well known BL stories like Target in the Viewfinder are about a thousand times more cliche than this one is. In fact, it missed several of the cliches yaoi manga seems to fall into; like the seme repeatedly raping the uke right away and it being okay because it's "love" (I'm not forgetting the bath scene so, yes, that's partially cliche, but I'm referring more to everything afterward -- Kuon never forced himself on Sunao, and Sunao had realistic reactions to things, I thought, like not really being sure about the advances) or everything being resolved in 2 days from "Hey I just met you and one of us is probably straight" to "Now we're both mutually in love forever" (The story spans a much longer time period than that) Also, I liked the background characters, like Asano, and the little brother. I liked the delinquent characters, and the main couple. I thought that in a lot of ways, their story was sweet and humorous.

All that being said, the main downside to this manga is that it's a bit all over the place. The plot isn't actually that bad (I found it to be an interesting concept) but it never fully answers a number of questions that rose to mind so it leaves a bit of a lacking feel. I have to agree with another reviewer that I was disappointed that the last chapter is some random oneshot. It has the feel of a story that's been started but never fully finished-- I was actually really hoping there would be a second volume or even a follow up oneshot. Also, it's hard to tell when Kuon's telling the truth and when he isn't, which would be fine except even the back story they give is a little strange for the way he is acting in present time. There are a number of things left unresolved, even small things like what exactly is Kuon thinking because he's super callous in some ways to people and then doesn't really seem to be that way elsewhere. It makes for an interesting dichotomy but it was never really explored.

In the end, it's unfortunate because I think this manga could have been awesome. Even so, despite the ambiguity the humor in the story and the main characters made me like it regardless. I even tried to check for other manga by this mangaka and was sad to see that very little of it has been scanlated. I would be curious to see if the other manga is a bit more cohesive. If Isaka Juugorou ever wrote a follow up to this, though, I would read it.

I thought that I will enjoy it, 'cos I liked the art, but even though I tried and read it till the end, it wasn't that good. Art was in range of my style, but plot... too rushed. Sometimes I was totally lost, like: When didi this happen? What just happened? or Who said it? (this question especially during last chapter). At least it's finished. I don't see a reason to recommend this or to read it again.

Good art, no plot structure

I liked the art. The general fluffy feeling of the whole thing was nice too.

But the plot was very lacking. It kept confusing me as to whether the information we were getting was true or false. Frankly, it was a mess. Some information we got on how the seme originally met the uke seemed like it was true, then a lie, then all of a sudden in a later chapter it was the truth again when the uke actually remembered the incident in question.

There were also some ups and downs without any real flow or structure through the whole story. When I thought it was ending, there were still many chapters left, when I expected the scene to continue on longer, it was the end of the chapter, and worst of all, when I thought there was one more chapter to lead the story to some unforseen climax, the last chapter turned out to be a oneshot and I was left thinking, "wait, that was the end of the story?!" Where's the development/climax/denouement?

So the marks are really 5 for art and 1 for fluffiness, but nothing for plot.

Is there any story at all?

As others already said, the art look nice.
But the story... is ridiculous. The so-called "kidnapping" which the description promised is more like meeting and picking up. Although you might expect it to be one-sided, it's not. They both like each other right from the beginning and that's the way it goes. I've just finished reading it but I already forgot what happened except the beginning and the end. So 5 chapters in which nothing happens, while the start is rushed.
It felt like the mangaka wanted to write a lovey-dovey story with a girly uke but thought that making him a deliquent and adding kidnapping would make the manga better. You don't need to read it. I wanted to read something without much story to relax, but even for that it was way too less.
By the way, the seme doesn't really have any personality. He's just rich and that's all for him. At least the uke has some personality development - though it's to the worse.
I'm still giving it 3 points. First because of the art. Second because there's no hardcore yaoi which wouldn't have fit in. Third because of the short story at the end (took me until the end to figure out who's Masuda and who is Yuki. The speech bubbles are somewhat awkward).

Average story

This is an average story, with some cute moments and I did find it looking for "strong uke", as Kuon is quite belligerant. It is a complete one volume.
Sunao, a rich spoiled but kind man, kidnaps Kuon Tachiban from the supermarket, trying to convince him to be his friend. Begrudgingly, Kuon accepts. The drama is added by the fact that Sunao is part of the criminal world, even if he is a respectable man going to college. The art is meh, the story is barely holding, but picks up when it focuses on Kuon and Sunao bonding and being domestic.

Still, I need to add a warning for consent issues, as Sunao is quite forceful at the beginning.

Beautiful Art; Weak Cohesion

For some reason even when I know just how horribly weak the whole narrative and story is, I just can't bring myself to hate this. It's really all over the place, the characterizations are somewhat awkward, and one thing just keeps on happening after the other to just move the story along, and act as a filler it seems. But I am a big sap for childhood love, and when love like this comes true. I am sorry, but I really am a sap for this thing of stories.

Super Disappointed!

I believe this is my fifth yaoi manga I have ever read and I was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of plot and character development. The whole story was so RUSHED. I cannot emphasize enough on the rushed part. They could have lengthened the introduction of this manga, development the characters some, made the head student of the disciplinary committee part of a love triangle to add some sparkle (even if it is cliche), and really expanded on the plot. This would have made a great story/manga. However, I did enjoy the "touch touch" scene in the story, tee-hee-hee =D

5 for the art. Clean and cute but nothing original and innovative.
0 for the story. Cliche, cliche, cliche. With all the new and original mangaka that start to make an appearance why bother to read something like that?

Cliche but something about it...

Cliche yes, it's that cliche. Being a little redundant here, but whatever.

The art isn't that good, I mean come on!
But...there's something about this cliche story that I like. I really like the beginning where they introduced the false plot. That was quite a tease (a good one)! If it really happened, that'll be something much more interesting than the original story. But it didn't happen...However, since all the cliches were done in a comedic tone, I rate it a 10. It may be irrational on my part, but I like the personality of the two protagonists. Kuon is really too over the top xD
