This was a fun story for volume 1.
Shunsuke was such an intriguing character: a successful mystery writer at 15, a composed, a long-time best friend to another young boy with a bizarre dad, who has a holds-his-own personality and in love with a man twice his age! What is not to like? I especially like the scenes where he 'can't hold back anymore' after he finds out that Chrisato loves him. Teeheehee. I would have like to seen more development of the sub-story that explained why Chrisato became the maniacal protector of his son that he was. I like those angry 'lost-it' sort of stories. . .. I felt a little cheated when Shunsuke's dad just all of a sudden explained away his feelings and actions. Maybe it's in volume 2.

I'm not really a yaoi-fan because that's just not my cup of tea but even so, I happened to give this one a chance because the cover looked pretty good. Turns out, it's not so bad and this series in particular is really nice. It's very, very funny due to Chisato's overprotective-ness on his son and other little things. Some might think he's just crazy though. You don't see much of the real action during thee, er, 'love' scenes, it's not too explicit... which is good for a first time yaoi reader. Too much and I'd probably not be able to handle it.
All in all, it's a good series thus far.

I don't know what else to say...but this is the kind of yaoi manga that I try to avoid...sure the artworks are gorgeous with lots of hot bishies, but it's just not realistic or believeable at all...can you imagine a 35-years old father is having a 15-year old lover? and on top of that, the lover is his son's best friend!! you might say that love is blind and all, but the most annoying thing for me is that the father doesn't seem to be having any logic or common sense at all, he just acts like a 15-year old himself! It just doesn't make any sense...if you're looking for a yaoi manga with believable story plot, I would suggest you look somewhere else...but if you're looking for one with lots of cute and sexy bishies and hot steamy scenes, this one would be a nice choice...
A fun read

This was my introduction to yaoi; I liked Shunsuke from the get go and find his pairing with Chisato hilarious.
I agree that the characters feel a bit immature for their ages, though honestly I've been around 50-year-olds who act like they're still an elementary kid (in terms of silliness), so I can overlook that. It still can seem realistic in that not everyone acts their age.
I've read a fair bit of yaoi since coming back to this manga, and I still enjoy it so that should say something.

I had to drop it, the parts of the story that I truly enjoyed in the beginning, were trampled over by the so called "romance". I would truly have enjoyed a story of just Chisatos attempts to eradicate the bugs that drive him crazy, but this is yaoi, so there went that hope.
So goodbye.
So goodbye.

I started reading manga due to its unique plot and high rating, but it was quite a let-down.
First of all, I didn't like the artwork. Some of the angles look awkward and it looked nothing like the cover.
Next, the manga didn't make sense. I mean, this guy is suppose to be 35 yr-old? Seriously? With that mentality, I'm surprised he's fathered a child and can write a novel. He acts like a twelve-year-old, going gaga over a writer he's never met before. You'd think time would've made him wiser.
Read it for the sex scenes, but don't expect much beyond that.
