I'm a sucker for historical fiction no matter how cheesy or cliche. This one is pretty sweet though and pure. It gets 0 complaints from me. My favourite was definitely the second one.

I don't make a habit out of reviewing one shots because there are just so many and it's too troublesome to review all of them, but I felt like I had to say something about this one in particular. I read it a long time ago and the stories (especially the first one) really stuck with me and it drove me to madness because I could NOT remember the name of the manga.

Well, alas, I found it again and remembered just how much I loved these stories. I have a soft spot for historical mangas and these were just fantastic and beautifully executed. The art is lovely, the stories are quite original, and I was left completely satisfied. I LOVE the characters and if I had to complain about something i just wish there was more.

Brilliant manga from an amazing mangaka. Give it a try, it's top:]

I just love the Edo historical manga, and this was one of my favorites. Yoshiwara and the red light district has for some reason just amassed a beautiful collection of stories. I was so happy to have found this, since I thought I needed more from that time period. To see the traditional utensils, instruments, housing, clothing, oiran, all of Japan back then is just incredible. And it is happily short, which means that I can read it as many times as I want even with limited time. ^_^

If you like oneshots and historical mangas, you should really try this one out. Sure they can be a bit cliche, but the historical aspect gives it a new flavor. My favorite story was the 3rd one - it definitely got to me smile
