I think Mao Chan is adorable because there are a lot of cute stuff (like the aliens) and there actions are a lot like little kids today. It does have underwear scenes and one nude scene but i think it would be appropriate for 8th graders but for seventh graders too ^_^
I think that Mao Chan is suitable for middle school students. I say this because there is lots of kids scenes plus there's underwear shots (mild) this might have spoilers but the Taiyaki Defense Chapter is a good example of why it is appropriate for middle schoolers because the chapter has a lot of stuff that little kids are like today, like the carrots. There is one nude scene but that's no big deal to me. To make the comment short, this would be appropriate for eighth graders. Other than that, the series is good. i recommend it for people who like cute stuff.
