Description
Nanao Shirahane is notorious for being a male siren, able to lure in and 'slay' any man simply upon his will. And while these rumors hold no truth, Kuon Aikawa, a fellow student attending the same university, still can’t help believing them and despising Nanao along with it.

I've read all of the stories in this series and this is by far my favorite. This story follows Kuon and Nanao and is more dramatic and has nearly no comedy, unlike her previous works in the series. They are both adult characters, which I enjoyed. My favorite in the manga is Nanao. He's complex in so many ways. Even after reading the whole volume I feel I don't know much about him, but that's not a negative. I want to know a lot more about him and there is a lot more she could do to expand this story.

Kuon is also an interesting guy, though not very likeable honestly. Very blunt and frankly mean at times, but also pretty single minded. I do almost thing his turn from hating Nanao to wanting to sex him up was a little quick. I also wanted him to apologize for how he treated him. He basically treated him like trash for the whole manga and other manga in the series, but

I'm going to guess the kiss after the blow job pretty much told you all you needed to know... he didn't view Nanao how he did before and was quick to defend him later. I know some people hated that part, but it was important Kuon did that and didn't look down on him like he would have before.
The two of them aren't perfect, but are far more interesting then the other couples in the story.

I do think the last chapter is rushed a bit and while it reaches a good conclusion, there is a lot more room to flesh out the story. The final conclusion of the rumors might be a bit anti-climatic in a way, but I think it worked. The ending was pointing one way and she kind of changed it up a bit and didn't go the obvious route everyone was thinking.

The translation is a bit clunky at times, but still worth the read. The art is gorgeous as well. I'm hoping she decides to write more of this couple!'

ETA : Read the new chapter 6, it expands the story somewhat. And to the slut shaming... no. Nanao is not a slut. The whole point of the story was it was mostly an act and he's actually a pretty fragile and lonely person with incredibly low self esteem and no faith that anyone like Kuon could ever like him in the first place.

I think it was a decent read... the main characters have unique personalities, very extreme yet in a way, polar opposites and their relationship just makes perfect sense to me...

I mean the Nanao's unrequited love came literally out of no where, but somehow, it felt right and sincere.... and the fact that even though Kuon sworn to loath him, he just couldn't help but be drawn to the man like they are connected somehow. It all just screams 'meant to be' and so very rare do you find that in a yaoi (at least for me anyway)

yes, there're plot holes and yes, the dialogue and narration make me frown/cringe at times... that happens in perhaps all of Sakuraga sensei's works, but she is still one of my all time favourite authors because when I actually read the manga and not trying to analyse/nitpick it, it was fun, great and I found my emotions going with the flow of the story... and I think that's what makes a good read

oh and of course, sakuraga's finest expertise: sexual tension - almost at a suffocating level for this one

the translation IS bad here, so bad in places that it's hard to figure out what's happening. i had to get the raw to figure it out. i am not in general a fan of sakuraga's works; i tend to enjoy the art but find the stories insipid. this is an exception. maybe that's because it's drama, not comedy; comedy is much more often miss than hit for me. anyway, this story has more depth and more character development than the rest of the warui ko series put together. kuon and especially nanao are complex people, and we actually get to find out about that, right along with them finding out about each other. there are weaknesses, but overall this was the first work of sakuraga's that didn't leave me unfulfilled at the end. i came to LIKE both characters, when previously i wasn't particularly fond of either. i don't care whether nanao is a "slut" (he actually is not; having sexual imteraction with 2 men he likes does not a slut make); he is an interesting character. i don't think it was supposed to be romantic that kuon kissed him despite the BJ; but it was symbolic. i liked that symbolism coming from kuon, who detested nanao at the beginning for his alleged sluttiness.

one of the weaknesses is that too much is left to kuon to just macho his way through at the end; i would have liked it better if the resolution had given a bit more agency to nanao. i also feel that satonaka is a bit undefined around the edges. and the last chapter is rushed; i would have preferred the manga to be longer.

This author always had a talent for stories filled with comedy, humor, and well-placed story lines. But this story is a representative that Sakuraga Mei has a good hand with drama and angst stories also. Although it is a bit 'light' considering some other drama yaoi stories I've read in the past, she does well in placing unexpected, non-typical twists and turns and leaves the reader always wanting for more. Although there is a little bit of plot flaws here and there

I was really looking forward to this one but it really suffers from translation. I was really chaotic and hard to follow what was happening. The japanse version makes more sense even though my japanse sucks. smile

To be honest I was expecting the story to be different. With all we found out about Nanao so far I was hoping for him to be more feisty. But in the end he went too ukeish. Story was alright, more serious than the other from the series so it might not be for all Sakuraga fans. Still it's above average the manga we get - really enjoyed it.

Sakuraga-sensei's work are generally not bad written but they suffer from english translation. If you have trouble with kanji but do undestand the spoken language I recommend listening to drama CD with this manga.

Translations could have been better but the storyline was still easy to follow. I have to say I fell in love with this story so deep and complex and the characters were actually three demensional. I hope she continues their story with the same quality this one was given as I find it has alot more potenial than the main couple.

By the way Nanao is not slut he slept with two people and a rumor spread causes alot of confusion. Although this impression may be caused by the poor translating you do have to use some context clues when reading the series but otherwise extremely enjoyable.

This story had me feeling like crying most of the time!! It was seriously hot, too! Drool-worthy art!!! Only problems for me were areas where I was confused, which was probably just awkward translation, I'm guessing.

this is the best manga i ever read! there are so many reason for my passion : the beautiful,sexy art ( though less sex but still hot!), the cute end sweet ending, the way mei sensei lead the the story, it's drama but softy, a bit sad. and especially the great character! i love the graceful way kuon hug nanao, the intense, possitive way he show his love to nanao "if u dislike it, i have to lock you away. a place where no one will be able to lay their eyes on you" ! kuon is a straght_foward guy so it's not the empty words as well and if sn say such things to you, you would die for happy! i hope mei sensei will grant her loyal reader by countinuing this story. strongly hoping that! (sorry for my bad english!)

Because the other works of this talented mangaka are more comedy than drama, this was a pleasant surprise. Finally, the middle brother of the Aikawa clan shows his colors. What a cool and riveting story, with less sex but still very smexy!

It was a decent BL story. The best from this author. I'd read a book, a very long book, about the auto-destructive gay guy that fell in love - (that is) Nanao, yes?
I usually don't expect much depth from a manga, so I guess I should just drop it, but I cant.

The first chapter o.O - a guy jumped on a guy and put his X into his X ... sure why not? Hell no! But I guess that there was not enough pages for the story to be developed properly. Pity.
And ... I don't understand why people fuss about 'a kiss after a blow job' thing. Kuon fell in love with a dirty guy, so he just kissed his dirty mug, HA! He showed him that he loves him with whatever he is, or was, or has ... . Everything is so perfect and clean in mangas (I like it).

Note that: after the first chapter it gets only better and the next vol. expains a lot ...
