Good idea, okay story, lazy ending

It start very good since it was quite a unique love story, but then the story began to drag out longer than it should be it got kind of boring in mid half and the end was nail in the coffin. I feel like the author didn't care at all, or he himself got bored and end it out of boredom.

All in all, it is not bad but not that good either, should just cut the story and character in half, if the author want to end it in such lazy way.

There is no other way to describe this manga...
A cock-tease.
There is no real development in the whole manga other that the last page of the last chapter. It became a slice of life series about a girl and his boyfriend, who have a strange hobby.
It was really disappointing, because i liked the characters very much, and i did wanted to know how all of that love and "bonds" would develop once they grew up and move on with their lives.

but meh ending.

Also while I loved all of the couples in this, I didn't like the

popular girl who was a love interest of the MC randomly ending up with that guy with the camera. All the other romances felt natural, but that was just felt incredibly forced.

This manga starts off with an interesting premise - strange psychic powers? A surreal dreamscape? A boy literally addicted to a girls saliva?

It's quickly jettisoned about 4 chapters in to follow a standard "slice of life" plot that never leads anywhere. I'm not being melodramatic about this, it literally leads nowhere - by the end of the manga the couple in question have not even managed to kiss a single time.

Some people may consider that a spoiler, but since this manga bills itself as a "romance" I think it's fair to point out that there is very little in the way of romantic progress in this manga at all. It's strange too because there are side couples, some of which only get together much later in the manga, that make much deeper and faster progress than the main characters do.

I recommend reading this only if you are a masochist that wants to suffer through 92 episodes of cliche boilerplate rom-com and subpar fanservice only to be denied an ending that answers any of the initial questions in the manga or has a satisfactory romantic conclusion.

An Niche Story and a Poor Ending

Classic tale of Tsubaki and Urabe's relationship in a slice of life fashion as they bond over shared emotions and memories via shared drool. A fair amount of nostalgia clouds feelings for this manga since I've been reading it on and off for the past five years. The finale was truly disappointing and I honestly wished the author had taken a more decisive step in developing their relationship further at the very end.

Initial concept was interesting, but not enough happens. It just gets repetitive and childish.

Ok but a bit disappointing

This, alongside Rookies and Zetman was one of the very first 3 mangas I've picked up, so it has plenty of nostalgia value.

The manga has many flaws. After a certain arc things started going downhill and the progress was pretty much nonexistant. I also felt that Tsubaki never really faced any challenges, it was more on Urabe to make a stand and make sure Tsubaki remained hers. The slice of life aspect to it was also diminuished since they didn't develop their romance properly. It also felt like some arcs served no purpose whatsoever and made the series weaker as it progressed.
There was also the point where I thought they would move forward and even see more of Urabe's world (that didn't happen); the confusing time frames also did not help, as after all these years of reading at some times I wondered if 1 year or 2 years had gone by in the story.

But I liked it, and kept on reading. The premise was extremely interesting and so was the art and sometimes the flow of the story. Urabe was mysterious and added to the uniqueness of the situation. I suppose this isn't for everybody to enjoy, because yes, there isn't much happening, but I'll recommend it because it was above average in the end.

Oh and as far as the ending goes I thought it suited the series, although I understand it might make quite a lot of people mad and I wanted a bit more myself.
In the end I'll give this an 8.5 because it was solid and one of my first ones, if not the rating would have been different for sure.

Its a beautifully dynamic relationship ....
The bond is portrayed with trust, loyalty, caring and lots of love with strong bond...//
A must read for people to understand real love and emotional attachment....

.
Don't mind comments below...they just want lots of kiss and sex scene ..otherwise they think the relationship is not strong.....
They are only in school and they both understand it...that's why they have there own pacing///

If you want to read about the developing relationship of a young couple, don't read this. You will be disappointed. Nice art but the story itself refuses to be interesting. Other than the main girl using scissors as a weapon and the finger spit swapping, everything and everyone is forgettable.

If you find the first few chapters interesting, read the first ten chapters then the last ten. No need to read the whole series.

Abrupt End, sort of

This was a very enjoyable run, and was one of those manga that had light plot but you could still come back to it every month or so and not be missing too much.

The Mysterious gist of the story shown at the beginning continues throughout the manga and I consider it unfortunate that at the very end it still is. I guess the manga remains true to its title.

Their relationship does develop, but don't get your hopes up for the ending. This was a fun read with a light and mysterious flavor.
