I agree with Helji, the situations are exaggerated in how the cocktail can solve problems! And other thing, customers always gasped at every drink he created. The storyline is getting old after fifth time. I need to see more of outside bartender life. I don't need to see a page dedicated to a picture of the cocktail every chapter or so.

For All People in Service Industry...!

"You all should learn from this guy (the MC I mean)!" is what I said to myself from the bottom of my heart. Well, I call this coincidence (though I also believe 'there's no coincidence), but when I work myself as a newbie consultant, I found the "Bartender" stories are closely-related with my work (especially with the attitude towards my job, problems, n customer).

If somehow I can be served by a bartender like him, how nice it will be. I can talk about all of my probs all day with him... Hmm... I guess that's enough for a description

Well, in short, almost masterpiece (for service industry storytelling) so far...

Note: ah, about the drink reference and such, I don't really care... As many reviewer have already said, the story is about tenderness and gentleness, in short it's about being a "Bartender"

This manga shows the best bartender in the world. He is a bartender all bartenders should strive to be like. That is only my opinion caused by the fact that I wish that I could be served by a master bartender like in this manga. Great manga with great stories and great art.

As a bartender myself I reall enjoy this manga, gives a lot of information and tons of stories to tell my customers. Since Europe doesn't know actually nothing about mizuwari or schochu it still shows me something new. I kinda liked the Margarita story, charming.

Nice manga

i like this manga. i'm not a drinker so the info about the drinks don't really matter to me, be it true or false. the stories are gentle and touching, not too comedic, not too deep. i also like how the protagonist isn't portrayed as being all powerful. art is cool too.

this manga can be read and enjoyed slowly. there's no teeth-gritting cliffhangers. all in all, i recommend this manga to anyone wanting a good slice-of-life manga

i read this for filler. it's not awful, but it might be a well-structured mediocrity. i'm with leprechaun's subject text: mangaka needs to drink more. for many reasons. one reason: if mangaka drank more, he'd have less time to write. mangaka must think bacchus the prim god of nerdfests - wrote she on the manga-tracking site. drink, mangaka, drink!

it is pretty good but at first its gives the same vibe as mangas like yakitate japan, addicted to curry and Saijou no Meii (the same mangaka as yakitate japan) the typical protagonist trying to do what he does better , be baking, cooking, doing surgeries, and now doing cocktails but i really recommend this manga

poor content. On the whole, this is a lot of drama flavoured with some comedic moments and a suitably laid back atmosphere. Like one reviewer noted, it'd be better if the mangaka is actually also an expert in the field or he works more intimately with the experts. Having said that, I admit that this is one extremely tough subject, dealing with both psychological and gourmet aspects. This work deserves praises for originality, but the praises stopped there.

This Mangaka should drink more

While this manga has some interesting history about different drinks, the actual content is pretty poor. It’s clear to me that this mangaka doesn't REALLY know much about his subject, except for what you might read in a book. I'm not saying that he doesn't know what different drinks taste like, but he lacks a more intimate knowledge of these drinks that comes with experience. This is especially true whenever the manga deals with the higher end stuff (*cough* wine *cough*).

If you aren’t an avid drinker, and none of your friends/family are connoisseur’s, you'll probably enjoy this manga. Else, you'll be scratching your head wondering where the content’s supposed to be.

One of my favorites

easily one of my favorite manga and anime by far.

the manga has a story while the anime is more random, but both cover different types of cocktails, the history behind them, and then use them in present life situations. of course, the situations are exaggerated in how the cocktail can solve problems, but I love this series because I'm interested in cocktails and this makes a great read for those interested
