Description
[From Obsession]:
This collection of stories explores different types of exclusion and isolation. Ever since his father died saving him, Asano has associated his father's white ashes with purity and cleanliness. Unfortunately, for his dark-complected cousin Izuru, Asano's neurosis prevents them from being close. Will Asano learn to overcome his distaste for things that are not pure white for Izuru's sake? Somewhat different from the other stories in that there's actually no sex. Seriously. Just generous amounts of emotion, and plot. Not bad, not the best, but its still good, and worth a read.
The second story is about an American named Keyes who comes to Japan to become Japanese and learn the art of lacquring.
The third is of three actors/creators of a company. Kimuya and Asaoka are a couple and the last guy, Tomomi, simply lives with him. Tomo is lost with his newest part in 'Hasta La Vista, Baby' where he plays a woman torn over the idea of not being able to give birth. So he borrows his sisters child to get himself into the role.
The story after that is about Remie, who has a special gift and Kazuki. They meet under less than ordinary circumstances, but ordinary in the yaoi/manga world, and Kazuki moves into Remie's mansion after the death of his parents.
The story after THAT is about Masatomo, a small guy who likes big things.
Take that last sentence as you will. The last one is a bit of a dud. Almost as if she was forced to fill up a few last pages or something. But! Overall If you like Nitta, you'll like this because you love her work.  |
